The 1975 version has a body made of fibreglass (vetroresina) rather than steel, have added some further pictures and information.

From Wikipedia article:

A notable aspect of the early 308 GTB was that, although still built by Carrozzeria Scaglietti, the 308's bodywork was entirely made of glass-reinforced plastic (or GRP), allowing a very light weight of 1,050 kg (2,315 lb). The engine borrowed its dry-sump lubrication from Ferrari's racing experience. This lasted until June, 1977, when the 308 was switched to steel, resulting in an, alleged, 150 kg (331 lb) additional weight.

I don't understand why PD didn't include this car if they included the 288 GTO,it wouldn't have given that much extra work to put this one on the game aswell

Well, the 288GTO certainly looks more beefed up and menacing than this thing.

Being the predecessor to the 288 GTO (and all that have succeeded it), this deserves to be in GT

You'll wish you hadn't posted anything :)

The car is the predecessor of the 328 and originator of the V8 line of cars that runs through to the current 458. The 288 GTO is a homologation special, like the 250 GTO that's also in the game.

In the sense of it being a precursor to the ambitions of Ferrari at the time (Group B), then you could argue that it was a predecessor one way or another-Then again the 288 GTO is the predecessor of the F40, and that spawned a completely different line of high performance machines
I worded it wrong by saying that the car itself is a precursor, and no the 250 GTO is
