Just a bit of Monday Tuesday morning car porn :D

Ferrari 458 Italia v Porsche 911 GT3 RS Video Comparison

Part 1

Part 2

An evo world exclusive: Chris Harris compares the Ferrari 458 Italia and Porsche 911 GT3 RS on video
Ferrari’s latest 562bhp V8 Berlinetta has changed the way we think about sports cars - it’s the first of a new, digital breed. The Porsche 997 GT3 RS is perhaps even more stunning on road than it is on track. Its ingredients are more basic, but its appeal is infectious.

They’re not direct rivals, but they’re two of the most exciting high performance cars we’ll drive all year. Chris Harris attempts to adjudicate.

But the video is from last week... so it well could have been Monday last week... :D

Interesting bit from Jalopnik when they posted this vid, Sam Smith and Wes Siler admit they have a man-crush on Chris Harris. Doesn't everybody?

I'm obviously not very awake yet and getting confussed with the bank holiday Monday :dunce: , at least I didn't go to work yesterday!

Also I haven't been keeping up to date on my car news if this was posted last week :irked:

Not sure about the man-crush

IMO, Harris is the best motoring journo around. Great writting style and decent enough on camera... he seems to have become Porsche's unofficial spokesperson in the UK... in that he gets access all the new models before anyone else.

And he's a very talented driver too... he's sharing factory GT3RS with some big names at this years Nurburgring 24h race - including none other than Walter Rohrl himself.

All true and I would cut (non essential) bits off for his job... I think Stotty may have a man-crush though

;)

I think he lost some of the sex appeal with the loss of the beard.

Harris was about 75% of the reason Autocar was so good... then he and a bunch of EVO guys defected to Driver's Republic.

Now that Harris is at EVO, I don't think there's a way for the magazine to get any awesomer without self-combusting. Have yet to pick up a new issue, though... been meaning to.

Agree completely... I like the way Steve Sutcliffle writes roadtests in Autocar, but his general column is pants compared to Chris's old column.

Chris is listed as being some sort of freelance contributor to EVO, yet over the last few issues he's pretty much written ALL the juicy features.

And you should pick up this month's issue... has a big feature on track focused road cars (including GT3RS, R26.R, 430 Scud, Mugen CTR, CLK Black, etc etc) with Colin McRae's old Impreza rally car as a centre piece... all written by the lovely Chris ;)

I second that although I'm saving that article for the plane on Friday...if Eyjafjallajökull stops playing silly buggers....and Greece goes back to work :scared:

Agh. My local news-stand doesn't have the current issue. Time to go a-hunting.
