Hey guys I got my ps3 recently and I am new to the gt series but I am serious petrol head. I recently bought a Ferrari 458 what are the best ways to tune it. Also what are some really good supercars in the game to win special events and other things

Under forums choose tuning forum. It will have a list of some great tunes to try out. The 458 and Mclaren f1 are 2 of my favorites.

Check out some of the other threads on the 458. It is a "dream machine" and adding any parts will ruin it. Also tuning? The bad boy is near perfect as is.

Take it onto a track like Trial Mountain (the more difficult the better) and put it through it's paces. Yep. Open it wide up. Then watch the replay. You'll go WOW!!!

This. I have a 458 and already drives like a dream bone stock. But I did have to suspension tune it to meet my driving style and some handling problems.

Welcome to the forums

The other Super Car that'll make you go wow is the Lambo Super V. It is a BEAST! I also like the Corvette ZR-1 RM. Another favorite that is not a super car is the BMW Z4M. Lightning fast acceleration (max torque at 1600rpm). On the Nurb it'll beat cars faster than it because of how quick and nimble it is.

You call this tune "458 Best" and give it way to long gears for 80% of GT5s tracks ;)

I was just joking man because you said "Ferrari 458 Best" and I hate it when people exagrate such things (especially setups in racing games, just because it fits you it doesn`t mean it fits to me. I suck at setting up my car, but the Enzo tuning from RKM Motorsports made things for me even worse then before).
Also, the gears are to long for tracks like Monaco (Im not saying that I could do it better! I think if the tuner wanted to find a Monaco setup, he would definitly change the gears).

^ I agree. Most tunes I try are not set up for online and a wheel/pedal setup. I get horrendous understeer from the majority of the tunes I try.

This is easily fixed on where the understeer comes from. If it's understeering during deceleration, I'll lower the rear ride height and/or raise the front ride height.

If it understeers upon acceleration, I'll stiffen the rear shock compression and/or soften the front shock compression.

Well, I love understeering vehicles like the Enzo. Yes, too much understeer slows down alot, but wrestling a 600hp MR car through the Esses in Suzuka is just pure awesomenes.
Now, most setups released for this car are mainly about reducing its understeering behaviour. So, its maybe the best for someone else, but I don`t get any benifit from such tunes.

And its the same for the 458 (eventhough this car has IMO a pretty neutral behavior). I have a stock one and a fully tuned one. I didn`t touched the suspensions on the latter so far because it already feels so good.
