I absolutely love both the F10 and F2007. One of my favorite things to do is fire up one of those cars and take them for a run on Nurburg. If you can't enjoy that, do you even like racing/driving in the game? Come on, people. The fun is about more than just trophies and credits. This is a driving simulator after all.

You sold me, I will be grinding for the F1 (runnin out of cars that I really want) as I just want to drive it, maybe the races will come later?

FGT is faster than the f2007 and f10 and handles just fine with a good driver.

I too wasted money on the f2007, it only has 700hp and I can't get it back 208mph.
I don't get the pointof that car, it's slow than the FGT yes cost more than double

It has 700BHP because the F2007 had 700BHP (it actually had a bit more than that but we'll let it slide for now).

The FGT is based on an older faster-generation F1 car.

Well can you imagine how much grinding you need for a FGT, a MINOLTA, and a vintage Ferrari race car ??

My point is that 20,000,000 rides become unreachable to the point of being "stupid" prices.

Considering that IRL no such figures exist a max figure of 1,000,000 is really do-able with some grinding. Anything above is duping for me.

The most expensive car is a 1937 (I beleive) Bugatti Type 57SC; about $30-$40 million. The most expensive Ferrari was a 1963 250 GTO for about $18 million. These are producton cars too, not Historically significant racecars.

I'm telling you, I love those cars. Maybe they're not for people who can't get enjoyment simply by driving cars in GT5, but I personally do laps with either of the F1 Ferraris on nearly a daily basis.

And you can race them online against other people who own those cars. F10's can race against F2007's also, not just one-make races. Offline, you can have a one-make race with F10's against other F10's or F2007's vs. F2007's. It looks funny to see so many identical cars on the track, but it's still something.

Again, I don't need that. Give me an F1 and The Ring. I'm happy.

The REAL problem is PD doesnt have the F1 license...

They can however use ferrari's because ferrari have managed to make themselves exempt from the fia's blanket liecence so they can choose where they want their cars where other teams can't.

It's not about the f1 license, it's about letting ferrari cars which the got, be able to use online, and offline, and not just practice mode.

You can use F1's online against the other F1's, as long as no other cars are involved.

This is why you can only use the F1, against other F1 cars. Ferrari most likely imposed what rules that PD had to abide by to use the cars. Racing true circuit championship cars against regular race cars most likely not a good look for them. This is how companies think, why you think it was such a pain in the ass to get realistic damage in any car game with multiple manufacturers. Some allow some kind of damage, others may not. Too much bad press as they say, oh well since image is every thing, not much else to do but abide by their silly clauses.

No you cant use it ''full potentional'' online, like i said before, restriced to f1 setup.

You seem like the type of guy who thought "there's no point in online without prizes"

Now you want to overpower people so you can get cheap wins. 👍

Lol, that's exactly what my quote says. ^^^
You do understand that your statement is wrong right, just one option doesn't mean it's up to use on everything, therefore ''saying'' you can, except it has to be f1 setup, is actually a sophism.

And you failed on reading dumb guy. I already explained that a couple post before.
Stop talking about non arguments, the fgt car and x1 can now already race against people with far lesser cars. Does that make it fair. No.

Eh, no I don't get it. I said you can use it online against other F1 cars only (F10 and F2007). That's a true statement.

:) :) :)

BTW, we never ended up racing our F1's. (Didn't we friend each other for F1 racing/fun?) I really want to get an online event going for these cars. I'll go back to the online forum and put in some more work on getting drivers.

The simply should add an option where you easy can see if someone has a f1 race online or not, just like the ''full room'' button.

I tried using my F1 2007 in arcade in two player mode and it says its for one make races only, but still wont let P1 and P2 choose it. What happens if you want to race against a real friend (or a family member)? Do you have to tell them to go home and get online? Ridiculous! It should be fixed so that as soon as one player selects it, it is selected for both players.

Just tried my Ferrari F1 2007 on "arcade mode" and it was a blast!! Super quick with super competition with eleven other Ferrari's of the same power etc. Totally wrecked it around Monza but you can use it on all the road tracks eg. Cape Ring, that GT offers. No credit points in arcade but you don't have to pay when you bang it up.. and you will..

Yea the thing I think is if we can use red bull x1, why shouldnt we be able to use Ferrari F1's? Theyre loads of fun to drive :)

You CAN use the F1 online and offline in practice mode. I have NO idea WHY you would want to drive it in A-spec SO BADLY that you call it 'worthless' and a 'waste of money'.

Well, I haven't got the money for it yet, but I really really do wanna get it! I don't care if you can't use it anywhere except practises, I will do full race distance on them on the Nurburgring GP, Monte Carlo, Suzuka, Fugi etc...

Excuse me for quoting an old post and slightly off-topic but you consider the 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO NOT an historically significant racecar? GTO means Gran Turismo Omologato. Mr. Ferrari had to produce enough private customer GTOs to satisfy the FIA Homologation requirements in order to race the 250 GTO in the FIA Group 3 GT class. Even at that, he had to cheat err.. I mean had to be creative with the chassis numbers because only 39 were produced instead of the required 100 units. And all 39 were raced. After all, the GTO was intended to be a race car from the beginning. Just my two cents. :)

Oh goody. I can drive it around alone around the track and do practice laps, or I can take it online and never do anything with it because no one ever uses them online. What a great use of the amount of money they cost to buy.

I have NO idea WHY you would want to drive it in A-spec SO BADLY that you call it 'worthless' and a 'waste of money'.
For the exact same reason the the Caterham was worthless and a waste of money in GT4. Because both of them are.
They cost over 10 million credits in a game with a ridiculously broken economy, and there is no warning whatsoever that you cannot use them like every other car in the game until after you purchase them and try to take them somewhere. Quite frankly, to even include them in the game when there are so many restrictions towards their use is a joke.

Meanwhile, I have NO idea WHY you think people wanting to drive it in A-Spec SO BADLY is some kind of "wacky" idea. Maybe it has something to do with it is a Gran Turismo game, so they should be able to buy the cars in the game and enter them in races. Just a theory, though.

Because you can't use them in the actual game. Practice mode isn't actually playing the game, and online isn't the core singleplayer game and particularly useless for players that don't like playing online. Any car that can't be used in A-Spec is a waste of a car, and buying a car that you can't use in the actual game is a waste of credits. It's like buying a fancy toy but only getting to look at it through the packaging rather than actually playing with it.

As a side note, shame on Polyphony.

Shame they only put 2 in the game and they are both Ferrari's, no real mix, too bad though because I think this game could succeed very well with more F1's and F1 races they're fun to drive :) who knows maybe DLC?
