I have fallen in love with the Ferrari F1 cars in GT5, more specifically, the F2007. Most people overlook these cars because the are "useless" as they can't be driven with other cars. But I was hooked after my first time in the F2007. Let this thread be a thread for the Ferrari F1 racers in GT5 to rejoice and discuss Ferrari F1 matters like tuning, possible leagues, Ferrari F1 in photomode, etc.

I think they're great. Personally I prefer the F10 because I feel it is more stable in the corners, but they're both nice to drive, especially at Spa.

I like the F2007. I think that a well tuned F2007 will always beat a well tuned F10. But over all, the two cars are pretty even.

The only problem with them is if you're in cockpit view then when you turn the wheel you can't see where you're going.

They are nice fun cars but lack character, too easy to drive in my opinion...

Not necessarily. If they are too easy to drive you are just not pushing them to their limits, which means slower lap times. If you are going all out for a lap time you have to fight the car often.

That's exactly what I mean, you can push this cars so hard that is just unreal, no real chasis charasteristics no realistic dynamics very much like a detuned X2010... Don't get me wrong, I love the fact that they are in the game, but I think they should be closer to what the Formula GT is. For what I read using Sport Soft tires makes for a morerewarding drive and put them closer to the real life times, haen't tried it myself.

Well... I guess neither of us will ever know unless we get to drive an actual F2007 or F10 in our lifetime which is highly unlikely. But I might try the sports tire idea for a new challenge.

Lol!! Oh come on! We could to hit the lotto and buy one of their Clienti thing cars!!

I, personally, prefer the F10. Mainly because I believe it looks better than the F2007. Its also the only car I can drive consistantly with no ABS, and with a good tune, it becomes rather quick and fighty occasionally.

I agree on all of this BUT the comment on the F10 looking better. In my opinion it looks like a painted snow plow. Just my opinion though, don't take it personally. I much prefer driving the F10, I find it more of a challenge but the F2007 take the awards for the looks.

Yes, it's nice to have a couple of F1's, a nice change from the usual cars and are not as fast as x2010's which are just a fantasy spaceships with no real life confirmation. I only have one problem with the F10: FFB way too harsh over kerbs. Any advice? Do you tune down your FFB when you drive one? I have a DFGT and I use FFB to 7 and Simulation mode. In other hand the F2007 feels good as is.

These cars are fantastic, especially going round Eau Rouge at Spa with no SRF, quite tricky to get it right with a DS3, it's just a shame PD can't put more in because they don't have the licensing.

Everyone would just use the RB7 and dominate every event .
I would prefer the Lotus F1 car (if PD had got the exhaust notes right) and the Mercedes GP (again, if PD could get the exhaust notes perfect). Stupid licensing issues...

Or some of the cars from the early 90's and Maybe Senna's Mclaren and Lotus.

Yeah all that stuff would be extremely cool but let's give the OP a chance, once in a while :-)
If F1 enthusiasts are looking for lots of F1 stuff there's only one answer: rFactor (and an almost decent pc).

When I FINALLY passed the 10M Credit mark, the car I wanted to get was the Ferrari F2007. I eventually want to get the F10 just to have both Ferrari F1 cars. I've seen more praise for the F2007 than for the F10. Also, I wanted to get the more expensive one first. So I got the F2007 in one of those metallic or candy colors. Even when I did the Ferrari F1 Seasonal, all the other cars were F2007's.

Let me give off-topic appreciation of a different level. A lot of us never thought Ferrari would find its way into Gran Turismo, let alone having Ferrari cars AND Scuderia Ferrari cars in the same game. The appreciation here is in how far the series has come and matured to where one of the world's finest and most recognizable marques is featured in a game series like Gran Turismo. Whomever thought it was a great idea to include Ferrari, including Ferrari F1 cars... MUCH LOVE!

You're right, during GT3 and GT4 era I never thought we would ever see any Ferrari in GT and now we have booth road cars and F1's, which IS something. Without forgetting the Epic P4.

I'll be happy to send you a level 24 ticket, and you will get 1 of the 3 cars from it: Formula GT, F2007, F10. Save a back up game save and use the ticket. If you don't get the F10 in the ticket, just load up the back up save and try again. If you are interested send an FR to Schwartz38 on PSN.

Of course in a perfect world, instead of kneecapping the Formula GT, PD would have updated it with a premium, thinly-veiled design of a modern F1 (instead of the current '00-'04 hodgepodge of F1, CART and IndyCar design cues), AND given it the otherworldly handling performance of the Ferrari F1 cars...At least then we'd have something we could use everywhere...

It would be awesome to get a premium paintable Formula Nipon car with changeable number plate!

I would drive it but PD's piece of 🤬 🤬 FFB destroys my wheel.

To PD- Learn to program FFB so i can drive these cars as well as the occasional x1

DFGT + F10? You have my same problem then. Anyone know a workaround?

Is it just me or does anyone else have a problem with getting the F10 round some corners due to not having enough steering lock?

Not necessarily. If they are too easy to drive you are just not pushing them to their limits, which means slower lap times. If you are going all out for a lap time you have to fight the car often.

After the updates the F10 is very easy now but at the same time very unrealistic, the F2007 had always been easy and faster.

I can't drive my F2007 without ABS because I use controller and I guess even if I had steering wheel it would not be easy using no ABS but using ABS makes the car quicker anyway. F10 is always uncompetitive against the F2007 because the F2007 is simply much faster, easy and that makes it a fact that its quicker and even against the best F10 driver I've known reventon10. The only tracks where performance is the same as I do in the F2007 are in the tight street circuits like Cote D'azur , Circuito De madrid , London but in Rome the F2007 is still much ahead. The F2007 and the F10 are well matched in street circuits. As reventon10 says the F10 became very lazy , unresponsive , unsensitive , very much unF1 and antiF1 car but I absolutely believe him because he's tried the Ferrari F1 Simulator in Abu Dhabi's Ferrari World in Yas Island where the Grand Prix is. I hope the F2007 stays the same though to allow being competitive with anyone who drives it.
