I don't know why you being recently obsessed with this cracks me up so much but it's hilarious. You're fing insane dude.

Not sure if I'll be in the practice race today. I kind of want to but I have so much s hit to do today and nobody is catching me in third place unless I just don't show up for the rest of the season. Also, I don't think it's realistic for me to catch Art given the amount of time I have to tune and his experience.

I'll give it 50/50 chance.

I'm definitely staying

Just saying the practice might be unnecessary given my current position and the fact that it would take a lot of time and work to catch Art. Time I don't really have to be honest. I'll be at the race Sunday.

I'm ok with third my rookie season, not quite Lewis but it'll do.

Edit: Actually F it... Roommate just left, I'll join just for the hell of it and figure out pit strategy.

My gas pedal was sticking so I dropped out of practice. Pulled it apart and fixed it so it's all good now.
 
Called it quits lap 35 big issue im having when switching on to Mediums as they ware at nearly the same rate as the Softs and i loose speed to quickly i barely managed 15 off of em. This has been going on for awhile and i need to fix it. Gonna have do more tunnig on Med's & Hard's possably.

Opposite problem compared to me. Softs wear out much more than the mediums, much more unstable, and much slower. Mediums were able to last me 20 and I was shattering my previous fastest laps with it, doing consistent 30s-32s with them. One stopping this race.

This car is nuts, slightly different driver/setup result in opposite results sometimes.

I feel like this is a bad idea going into Sunday's with very little practice :nervous:

Yeah I was using my Fuji tune yesterday and spinning in the middle of the turns but then I increased the camber and lowered the toe and it actually was more stable in the turns.

I usually toe out, but if you keep spinning and run out of ideas real F1 cars, unlike all other types of race car, actually toe the tires in (edit: the front ones I mean)

Toeing in will induce understeer which should help keep the back in control.

The rule in F1 is high front camber and toe in. (although I wouldn't go over 4 camber on the front).

That said, on my setup the front is currently toed out a little bit. The problem is you can't adjust the ride height or I'd have it a little higher in the rear and toe in to balance and get a nice aerodynamic rake.

What are you all up to tonight? Any interest in some racing? Some F1 obviously, but a little of everything, maybe even some shwimmenwagon or whatever that thing is called.

I'll race anything with 4 wheels that you want, even some 700pp on comfort hard if you're feeling crazy, let's do it.

Cool, I'll setup the wheel and go grab some beers, it's 11:15pm or so now... let's say like 11:35 to 11:45 I'll be back and have the wheel ready to go.
 
I might take you up on some shuffle or whatev you guys do some of my old club members might host a room with mixed racing so ill see what there up to.

Aaaaand it's closed, solid 4.5 hours worth of racing, won 23 out of 26... great night, thought I'd lost more skill at spec/shuffle than that, my braking is atrocious because of F1 IMO. Great racing Killa, Tex and Wilso!

23 out of 26, wow. Actually i'm not surprised, it was the beer ofcourse. Maybe now at least people will give me a break about my Vodka/Orange juice tactic.

I think in 3-4 hours.
Vodka is a good tactic for the Race.
 
Just ran a 1.28.5 on my second lap practicing online. I think I'm starting to get the tune dialed in now. I think I'm finally feeling more comfortable with the wheel now.
