I have to work tomorrow so I'm going to have to miss practice race

I wasnt actually hit , like i usually do i tend to sneak my way out of these incidents.
I think u hit Gazzi and spun Tex if i remember.
Me Gazzi and Tex where in group on the run down to Indy ,Tex & Gazzi 2 wide and you came drafting up and seemed too try to squeze through a space that wasnt there.
You are right Wilso you thought of making exactly the same move but you backed out just in time, i couldn't not believe how you managed to get out of that situation as it easily coulda been 4 off at Indy. Good defensive driving, i think there should be a trophy for that 👍

Thanks turns out i avoided 3 accidents the 1st lap .
Actually it was Hugo not Tex .
I was drafting Gazzi while Hugo followed by Gian where gaining quick.
I hit Gazzi from behind to bump draft but then moved over and hit Hugo on the curb which made Hugo and Me slow which put You Gian moving up quick on with no where to go so you try go indetween them so Gazzi moves on to grass to avoid you

From what ive seen we run with pretty hard spring's some up to 20 and usually harder in the front.
Camber around 3.0-4.0
And toe settings as near to 0 as possable.
Most keep there's secret but these would an average trend for people.

Do any of you guys have tips for tuning? I'll need it.

Since you tried to help me with drifting I will do what I can to help you. I'll send some info when I get on a pc.

Yeah, took a few lessens but I am still possibly the worst drifter on gt5.

Yeah I saw you try'ed at the Miata event .

Im gonna head back there myself i think and try for the 15,000 mark.
Im sitting in 194th at the moment.

Very good practise guys 10 and more WC drivers have practise.
Dont forget tomorrow our practise race guys.

Drifting with the wheel is difficult. I've done a few of the seasonal trials and rarely am I able to get gold without at least 5-10 tries. Best advice I can give is start with max camber and go down, in contrast to normal where you start with min camber and go up. The rest is just practice and knowing where the wheel/front tires are (edit: which direction they're pointing relative to the direction wheel is turned without looking) under quick/extreme situations without thinking and throttle control. Catching the slide isn't as difficult as getting the wheel back to the right spot in the right time right after you catch it.

I looked in my mirror and saw you bump drafting me. Thats why I originally thought it was you who took me out. Sorry for saying it was you. And no problem to everyone who got caught up in that.

I'll probably play the practice race but Im 50/50 for the sunday race.

for some its more difficult.
I do some drifting in real life when I can so I know a good amount of what kinda car control it takes and how to predict what the car wants to do next.
I find it difficult not having a clutch in the game since its pretty important in actual drifting.
93rd overall in the Miata DT :D

ALSO im for shure not racing sunday so I im looking forword to tomorrow's race 👍

I've always wondered if the clutch on the g27 works well with the drifting mechanics in GT5. While we're on the subject I've also always wondered if using the clutch in the F10 would help prevent wheel lock from downshifts in certain situations.

When is tomorrows (practice) race?
I doubt I can make it anyway, unless it's closer to 10, 11pm eastern (~3 am UTC).
Do you guys practice (free runs / tuning) in public lobbies, or in private?

Also the high camber thing id only recomend if your an experienced drifter.

Definitely, like I said just start high and lower from there to suit instead of normal where you start low. It increases your control while sideways but too much will make it go sideways too eagerly for some drivers.

So...... how do you feel about getting your seven Tour De France victories stripped???:ouch: Its like them stripping Schumi his seven F1 World titles.

I felt like he deserved it (edit: the punishment) until I saw this thing which said every team and every rider has connections to doping so they couldn't easily award the win to anyone else. It's not so much of an advantage when everyone else is doing the same thing. Don't know how to feel about it after learning that.

Lance was a great "responder" to drug therapy but not a great natural talent on the bike. "Der Kaiser" Ullrich was more naturally proficient, he along with about 25 riders were caught in 2006 with bags of their red blood cells stored up and ready to infuse, along with drugs like IGF-1!

but really the evidence would not be good for the UCI (Cycling's governing body) if it were to come out (taking bribes from large teams). It will be interesting if Lance allows Johan Bruyneel's case to go to arbitration, if it does the evidence becomes public! He must not want that.... It would be more like "we might as well loose". Bruyneel wrote a book called we might as well win. ;)
