Best guess is traction control combined with the longest first gear in history of road cars.

Why is my F40 so slow off the mark, I mean it feels asiv something is wrong, 8 seconds to 60?

You're not launching it properly. You need to have the turbos on boost and a bit of tires spinning to get a fast launch. The F40 was one of the first cars to hit 60 mph in less than 4 seconds so it's not the car being slow, it's your technique. Older turbo cars in particular are known for lag so you have to work around it.

The main problem with the F40 is the gear ratios that keep the car from getting full acceleration. Buy a FC Transmission and lower the top speed. This will limit you slightly you in the long run, but in the short term it really helps.

try holding the brake, then hold the throttle and then release the brake, if you get wheel spin then, for now, keep the throttle on, and see how fast it accelerates then, with this being GT5 an oil change wont make that big a difference to a car 👍

I might try my F40 later and see how mine is but I'm betting mine gets to 60 in around 4 seconds 👍

0-60 in 8 seconds???

That's like double the standard time for 0-60 for an F40??

Check everything, something is very wrong..
