Ferrari F430 '06 gear shifting automatic transmission

Has anyone else realize this?

When I drive the Ferrari F430 using automatic transmission, the 'driver' would use the gear stick to shift gears rather than the paddle shifters. I find that rather odd because the Ferrari has equipped paddle shifters. A glitch?

f430's came with a regular 3 pedal transmission version too. non F1 transmission ferrari's have a shifter.

Just noticed that while driving the Ferrari F430 now(right before spec 2.0), gear shifts used the paddle shifters. When I took the F430 to Photomode for some pictures, I can't see the gear stick anymore.
