Ferrari F430 vs Ford GT

The F430. So much more technologically developed, and what seems like a sharper driving experience, from what I've heard.

Ford GT easily. I prefer the styling and the fact that in 40 years it will be worth more than the Ferrari I think. The F430 is bland and generic as Ferrari's go. And I have a bias against 99% of Ferraris--they are not what they used to be. The last good Ferrari has to be the 550 Maranello, 355, and the F40 before that. But--I'd rather have a DB9 over either of these two.

The problem with Ferrari's, specifically the 360, and possibly the F430, is that they're becoming underwear for the rich. Everyone needs one, and already has a pair sitting around somewhere.
Great cars, and I love almost all of their styles to date, but when every football and basketball player has a 360 in hard top and spyder, it gets kinda hard to appreciate them as much as they should be.

Simple solution: buy a Berlinetta in any color other than red, black, or yellow. You won't look like everyone else (relativley speaking, of course ;) ), and it makes the car look 200% better. Rosso Corsa is not the best color for 90% of Ferraris.

The Ferrari. Hands down. But only if it was a black Spider. If you're driving it then you don't have to see the slightly busy front end and you can enjoy the handling and the sound of the Ferrari V8.

Both are great cars but the Ford GT, although the GT40 is one of my all time favourites, is just too retro. The 430 would be my choice, especially if a Challenge Stradale is in the pipeline as i expect it will be.

I'd have neither, I'd save £50k and buy a Sagaris. But it'd be a Ford GT out of thoes two, it's a much nicer looking car and the performance of both is better than I'd get out of either of them.

The ford GT has the better looks. (the ferrari is crap for a supercar) But the ferrari has the engine and comfort.

Plus youd get more chicks in the ferrari but id take the porsche because every rich person has a ferrari.

And every rich person has a Porsche as well for day to day driving, in fact the slightly rich have Porsche's too. The ONLY reason I see more Ferrari's than Porsches is because theer's a Ferrari dealership just shouth of the town center. On the roads I see ten times as many Porsche's, they're far more common.

Is there any car you would rather have than a TVR?

I'd go with the Ford GT on this one. That car is just too damn sexy to pass up, especially blue with white stripes

LOL you do know I mean the ford right.

My typo.

Ford GT. It looks way better IMO and is pretty kickass.

Yes the F430 sounds better, yes it handles better, but I'd be too scared to push either, anywhere.

F430, sell it, and get a 997 Carrera S.

I never realised the performance of the F430 was so close to that of the Ford GT, I'd always thought the GT was considerably quicker.

I'd be happy with either.

But if I had to choose, it would be the F430.
I just like it better.

Ford GT. Take it, sell it back to Ford and get DB9. ;)

Actually I do think I would take the Ford GT over the F430 as much as I love the F430. There's a red/white GT running around my town pushing over 650hp at the wheels with new exhaust and gears among other things. I gotta find that thing.

I'd take the Ferrari if only for the beautiful sound of the 4.3L V8 and its rather good looks... Not to say I wouldnt want a GT either, but alas, it is a Ford... And in my family, its a sin to have one...

Then again, I could buy a Corvette Z06...

I might add there are fewer GTs because no one wants them any more... they've come past their big media hype and there's just too many of them as it is, so they cut production short. Same for the CGT.

Which, by the way, is much better than both of these two. Not that it really matters.

...Dont forget about the problems Ford had with the A-Arms on the GT baisicly cracking like French-Bread...

I still wonder if Ford is actually serious about replacing the GT. I mean, sure it was a "success," but it by no means had the staying power that they needed to sustain the firm grip they had on the American supercar market.

well, the F430's performance on the US-spec model is actually a bit slower because of the lack of the Launch Control function... But once the car gets going, its just as good as any GT, if not better.
