This is the latest modified Ferrari F599 – designed for petrolheads who believe 602bhp and 205mph isn’t fast enough.

German tuners Edo Competition have taken the standard Ferrari 599 and turned it into a German Italian monster – creating the Ferrari F630 GTB.

They have fitted the Ferrari with the 6.3-litre engine from the track-only FXX, which produces a monumental 750bhp.

Performance figures haven’t been confirmed but we’d expect the Ferrari F630 GTB to have a 0-62mph (100kph) time of 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 215mph – 10mph more than the standard model.

On top of this, the 630GTB gets a specially developed Edo suspension which uses racing technology for the road and has three different adjustments depending on how hard you want to drive it.

And this bright white Prancing Horse rolls on 20-inch racing wheels which can be painted in custom colours on request.

But if 750bhp is too much, Edo is offering a more watered-down Ferrari F599 which produces 650bhp.

There is no word on how much Ferrari F630 GTB will cost, but don’t expect change from £300,000.

It’s open season on modified Ferrari F599s. In the past few months we reported on modified Maranello monsters from Vandenbrink and Novitec.

Where did they find a FXX motor? I don't think any of them have been scratched yet, and I doubt Ferrari would just let someone pull the motor out of one.
 
But they'd probably be happy to sell already manufactured blocks or even manufacture a small number of them for the right price.
 
Good point. Ferrari's got among the best customer service programs in the business. if you've got the money, they'll build you a brand new 250 Testarossa.
 
Hmm. Nice way to up the bar of Ferrari, imo.

The 599 has the Enzo engine, so why not put the FXX engine (which is almost the "same") in.
 
Yeah, I'm thinking they just made the necessary modifications to make it the same as the FXX powerplant on top of the regular engine it has.
