I don't really like the whole conversion idea. Fine, upgrade to Stradale parts (especially the exhaust system ), but don't add Stradale stripes!

I agree about the stripes i think the Stradale looks better without them, BTW the CS coupe in the pictures is his also.

I only like the stripes on a red Stradale, with my personal favourite colour being the dark blue (without stripes). Since it's not a Stradale I don't think they should be on there, almost like putting STi badges on a WRX Impreza IMO.

I see your point, my Favourite would be TDF without stripes :)

I'm not much of fan of the 360 in terms of looks, but that's certainly a car that could get people talking. I'd imagine plenty of people will see it and think it actually is a CS Spyder not realising none were made. For the purpose of recreating the CS look I dont mind the stripes, I mean I don't like them in general but it I think to not put them on with his goal in mind would have defeated the object. Looking at that car it's pretty much what you would expect a factory spec 360 CS Spyder to be if they made one and that's what appears to have been his aim, so I guess it's mission accomplished.

The 360 is certainly boring when it comes to styling i agree with you there, my friend thought that the spyder was great then he wanted a CS, so after buying the CS he missed open top motoring and this is how how the CS spyder was formed, now he as the best of both worlds :)

Hey I'm just impressed you got a friend with 2 Ferraris what a friend.:sly:

We have a few things in common :) this is me in the 355, the 355 is shown before the colour change, the car is now Rosso Scuderia and the only one in the UK with this colour combonation.

Very nice. I know a lot of people say how pointless a scud spyder is/will be and the same thing applies to a 360CS. But in terms of styling, i think it took one of the best looking ferrari's of all time (debatable) to a whole new level of sleekness. :)

For a second there, I thought it was another 360CS chopped into a Spyder. Very cool, though, even if the idea completely destorys the point of the Stradale. :)

Looks gorgeous. The 360 is one of the most beautiful Ferraris to me. The Berlinetta (I know it wasn't called that, but that's what it is) is still my favourite body style (especially as a CS) but the Spider still looks damn good.

As for the best colour for a CS, I'd have mine in Rosso Scuderia with the stripes. If you're going to have a car that loud and focused, you may as well have it in the most outgoing colour scheme. Blu Tour de France (or similar) looks gorgeous on many Ferraris (especially classics like the Dino) but it's too subtle for the CS ;)

Great on a normal Spider though:

I think TDF suits the CS, here is a picture of another friends CS in TDF but with the stripe.

I must be the only one who really likes the CS best in Tour de France. Ever since I saw one in Houston, I've been attached. I also like the stripe on TDF as well. :)

That makes two of us mate but i would prefer it without the stripe.

Don't get me wrong, TDF looks fantastic on the CS, but I prefer Rosso Corsa. It's virtually a race car anyway so might as well have a race-inspired paint scheme!

Point taken but when was the last time you saw a CS that was not Rosso?
your friend has too much money o_o

It was an expensive project but the results far outweigh any financial concerns, it was a car he wanted and now he as it, if we all had the money i am sure we would all make our dream car come true :)

Well they aren't exactly common cars and the two I've ever seen have both been Rosso, so I could reasonably say that they're rare in any colour. I have however seen plenty of TDF regular 360s which do look great, but I've already stated my opinion on the CS.

For a company having so much pride in its racing cars, it seems to have missed the ball on what the 430 Scuderia is all about.:dunce:

Ferrari now seem to be catering for the mass market? what with the California and now a CS Spyder, they need to go back to their roots before we have an Italian Porsche on our hands :scared:

I'd hardly call a £180,000 car with a run of about 500 units mass market! And a very sceptical motoring press is giving the California rave reviews - Autocar & Car Magazine have both said they wanted to hate it, but it's just too good.

Ferarri are still producing cars that people want, and so far, they seem to be doing it without significantly erroding their core brand equity. If they were to announce a £50K 'entry' model, with V6 or turbo 4, I'd start getting worried, but as it is, they are still only produce in relatively tiny volumes.

That's if Ferrari actually sticks to that number.

True, but for an exotic car maker, they are pretty high considering they push out nearly 30 cars a day.
In fact, since 2004, there are already over 6,400 F430s around (According to Autoblog earlier this year), which means the units/year must be somewhere near 1,500. That's still a lot of cars.
