Ok, first thing to say, is that I don't want to complain about GT5. A game that I've been (and also all of you) waiting for soo long time.

Said this, I start talking about Ferrari in GT5...

Last week, I was thinking about all the things were said from Yamauchi about the content of GT5. And I remembred something about Ferrari and the inclusion in the game of such an important brand.

Did anyone of you remember that Kaz said that nearly ALL Ferrari street cars would have been included in GT5?

I hope it's not only me, but also, I really hope to see some more Ferrari, like:

F50, 250 (LM, GTO, SWB), 275 (GT, GTB/4), 288 GTO, F355, 360 Modena, Scuderia, 166M, and some more...

What do you think about it?

And please, don't write stupid comments about, Why you created this thread??? Are you not happy with GT5??? Don't buy the game if you don't like it!!!

I'm talking about something else. Hope for some colaboration from you guys! :sly:

I don't remember Kaz mentioning that all street Ferrari's would be in, tbh im happy with the Ferrari's we have at the moment, but i see your point. The more the better! :)

I think he said all current Ferraris.

Not to say all old models wont be in, but they weren't all particularly exciting. Some might get in though.

I think that the most current Ferrari's and then the more historic models will make it in. GT has always had a thing for the iconic, they always include cars that made an impact over all else, then they seemingly go down the line for what they think might be cool to include. Personally I do not care if they include all ferrari's ever made, but that would be rude to include Ferrari's who table of cars and miss out on other manufacturer's vehicles. Anyway I just think that historic, then biggest impact(industry wise and manufacturer wise) then which are cool to include.

Ferrari Daytona, please. It's like an old Jaguar E-type, but a lot better. Front engined, real wheel drive.

I do wonder they got license for GT cars like the 550 Maranello Prodrive that competed in FIA GT and such next to the 430 GT2 car wich still runs today and is very succesful.

Essential to the game? How so?

Cut it out. Seriously.

btw.
When you wonder where this supposed claim from Kaz comes from (all Ferraris), you should check out the very first page of the General News Thread.

Hopefully not as Ferrari has made some boring cars from time to time like the 348, 456 and 612. However, I would like to see the F50, Testarossa and maybe the 550 Maranello or 360 Modena.

I think they should make a lot of premium room for the Japanese cars that helped shape the GT series and not go down the stereotypical route like all the other games out there. Don't get me wrong, I love the supercars but GT should not forget its roots. :)

Don't remember him saying all Ferrari road cars ever build would be in, think if he said something like it, he probably indeed meant the current line up as including all road cars made by Ferrari since 1947 ( and even excluding all coachbuild limited editions and custom made one-off creations by multiple Carrozzeria's for the sake of convenience as the number would be extended to an insane amount of different cars ) would be far more than the current amount of Premium cars included.
I do however hope for some iconic classic road cars ( in addition to the P4 racecar ) to be included to take on the Miura for example and the most logical ones would perhaps be the Daytona, Dino 246GT or 250 GTO ( and SWB ) although the last two are strictly speaking homologation models but still road cars.
I could name a lot of historic models I wish to see included ( 500 Superfast or 250GT Lusso would be some of the ones I'd choose ) but this doesn't only end with Ferrari, the same thread could be created for a lot of brands or for now limiting myself to Italian brands, how about more classic Maserati or Lamborghini models?

Ummm.......what??? It's a valid question. What's the problem with a valid question???

Sounded rather arrogant to me. Besides, it's obvious why they're essential, even to the game, because they were most of the influencing Ferraris and cars in general, ever built.

That hardly means they're essential to the game.

I wasn't being arrogant, I was asking a valid question. I don't understand how every street Ferrari is something Gran Turismo can't live without. We made it through the last 13 years without them.

Im happy with the ferraris we have now.. The only other one I would dream of seeing is the F50, but thats it. I think its more important to get more (Standard) cars to premium level, or just include a brand new brand, or car, to the premium line-up.

a Spyker? That deserves premium spot.
another ferrari, adding on to the number we already have (5-6)? I dont think so.

I bring up premium because, kaz has said that all new cars they put in will all be premium, they can never make a 'new' standard, but will only add to the premium list.

I think we have a decent selection of Ferraris. Nothing mind-blowing, though and to be honest, I can't see them including too many more Ferrari models. Maybe a couple but not 10 or 15. Still, at least we've finally got Ferrari after all these years so thank God for small mercies.

Ferrari is one of the greatest car manufacturers, if not the greatest (in iconic terms). Plus, being the 1st time Ferrari appears in a GT franchise, i really doubt that PD already "wasted" all their Ferrari shots in Prologue and videogame show's footage.
I think there's some more to come. 15 or 20 more Ferrari models wouldn't surprise me at all. Im considering race models too.
