The Southern Festival of Speed street race in Dunedin, New Zealand is the third oldest street race in the world. All the other cities in this country seem to have too much trouble hosting a V8 Supercar race for even one year, but Dunedin has done it for over 50!
So i organised a car display for our Skyline club, and another Skyline club and below are piccys etc, would have been more but the camera didn't have much room on it.
Unfortunately the pics didn't come out very good, but you get that with some cameras.
16 cars turned up (plus one more, a Nissan Laurel, later on) including a guy from Skylines Downunder who bought his R34 GT-R V-Spec II down from Wellington - truely awesome machine! The organiser was really happy with the turnout and said that the SSE/SDU display and the Datsun Club display really stood out from the rest, purely by the quantity and quality of cars!
We also got pretty bad sunburn
All pictures available in 1024x768 resolution, just ask if you'd like a bigger pic.
Real or replica, the RS200 still looks awesome in real life!
The isle of beauty. 8)
Datsun Club (about half had already left when this pic was taken)
Cooke Howlison Holden/BMW
This Porsche was seriously fast!
If you squint hard enough, you can see 'Gentleman' Jim Richards from Australia over Roger Townshend's (NZ) right shoulder, just above the red and white car.
M6 goodness *drools*
Yes i was, at times, about two metres or so away from Roger Townsend (NZ), Jim Richards (Aust) and Robbie Frankevic (NZ), but i was too chicken to go say hello to them (well... they were busy talking to people/doing stuff, so i didn't want to interupt
).
