FF Top Speed Challenge!!

Hey guys, I thought I'd spice the challenges up around here (as if they aren't already hard enough) and give us a different target to achieve. We've seen 480km/h+ from the LMP cars but what I want to know is what can we get with the FF cars that have NO CHANCE of pulling wheelies!!

So, the challenge is to see how fast you can get with any FF car on the Test Course TOP SPEED TEST!! Post your speeds up and the car you used to get there (screenshots will be nice!! ) and if you want, add the ratios so we can all get somewhere near your speed.

I want to see if ANYONE can get near 400km/h (250mph). I know 200mph is very easily achievable with several FF cars, even ones with only 250-280hp.

And just to start it off, here's my 1st car for a baseline.

VW Lupo GTi - 243hp fully worked + 100hp shot of NOS running medium tyres, no downforce, no ballast.

Final ratio: Changed to 4.000:1
6th gear ratio : 0.613:1

Speed: 322.07km/h (200.13mph)

i will work on this challenge seeing as i am the ff honda guru. right off the bat all motor i will attempt 210mph in a '95 dc2 integra. i will also shoot for 230 with a turbo. i'll be back with the actual much lower speeds...

ok then i have finished with the all motor at i got it to just barly do 220mph.

ok then now i have just done the turbo version and got it up to 233mph. i thought i could go faster with this one but there just wasnt the track to do it.

i'll keep working to the 250mph goal in other cars.

I decided to bring out one of the big bangers this time, and this is a progress speed, I reckon a bit more is there.

1998 Alfa Romeo 156 2.5L V6 - 50000kms on the clock
463hp fully worked (S3 turbo) + 70hp shot of NOS, running no downforce, no ballast, Super Soft Tyres.
Stock final ratio: 3.937
6th gear ratio: changed to 0.540

Speed: 378.92km/h (235.46mph) from a standing start including a 13.403 1/4 mile no NOS run. I think a run up is needed for extra speed from here on out but I'm trying for 380km/h with final ratios next before I resort to that method.

The FTO Super Touring is 4WD, not FF.

gets me up to 207mph (333km/h) easily, but not a bit more.

i dunno what really to tune (other then gear ratios) to give it more speed... decreasing ride hight actually seemed to slow it down by .2mph top speed...

Ok, so it's not the fastest, but not bad for a Panda, eh?

I'm at work, but you should try the Honda Gathers Drider Civic Race Car '98. It was on the WRS a few weeks ago, it should be pretty quick.

I got my Prelude SiR S spec '98 (391hp) up to 210mph.

the 207mph with the srt4 was without nitrous. with nitrous i got 243.55mph (392km/h).

setup for nitrous:

R2 tires
511hp (everything added)
weight reduction stage 3
suspension... i lowered it as much as it can go, but i dont think that made a difference
gear ratio, set final to 6, then set auto to 25, then set final back to 5.500.
70 shot of nitrous

bam. 243mph+.

without nitrous, the 207mph was done with everything above, except gear ratio set to 21, and final drive left as it was stock.

hmm, i got mine up to like 225-230mph (362-370km/h) with nitrous. not as good as my srt4 at 392km/h though.

i tried the mugen civic. it didnt go very fast. over 200 i think but not good enough for me.

my 220mph/233mph in the integra was with street tires to.

The fastest FF car in GT3 at Test Course was the Honda Integra Type R. So using that as a starting point I bought one, hotted it up. 454PS.

Only had half an hour to set it up this evening, but it hit 199.6mph without nitrous, and though I only had time for 2 passes with nitrous, it hit 245.5mph on the second pass.

Shouldn't take long to nudge it past 250mph with nitrous, and 200mph without. Once I get to those targets, I'll post some nice little photos of the TV screens.
