After back to back racing in hot temperatures, our drivers will be glad to get a break! Some close racing and plenty of non finishers top off a good Malaysian GP.

Lots of non showers who will hopefully show up for the next race. Meanwhile big well done to East who takes away the 10 point, Empty space and Driven usa take the rest of the podium.

:eek: 🤬 Wow, East must of been laying down some blistering laps in a very clean race. Congrats to the podium finishers :cheers:
 
Well done everyone 👍 Honestly I didnt think my times were going to be fast enough, I had myself convinced everyone was going to be nearer the 1hr 31mins mark, guess I was wrong :)

I ran with 30 litres of fuel and pitted every 8 laps. The majority of my laps were mid 1.34s to mid 1.33s. EDIT: Oops, make that 1.24s - 1.23s :dopey:
 
wow i expected 5th or 6th after my lack of consistany. my fastest laps was only a couple tens below easts iirc.

Oh man... missed 3rd by 2 seconds! Nice job, DRIVEN.

I'm glad to see I wasn't as far off on the fastest lap as in Round 1. I turned a few 1'23.8xx laps and got a 1'23.551.

I missed my pit twice and had to run a 9th lap on worn tires. I lost about 5 seconds on each of those laps and another 20 seconds to various off track incidents. A perfect race would put me close to empty_space but there's no way I could catch east. Nice job.

After seeing the discussion, in Round 1, about in-laps and out-laps, I paid attention to mine in Round 2.

average in-lap: 1'50.xxx
fastest in-lap: 1'48.5xx

average out-lap: 1'30.xxx
fastest out-lap: 1'28.5xx

average lap: 1'26.1xx
fastest lap: 1'23.551

Team Arrows' other driver, Casio, was busy testing cars for JGTC and nabbing a 4th place finish in WRS. He'll be back for the Australian GP. :)
 
hmm, let me guess: the "Australian GP" will be at.......Tokyo R246?

Nice looking leaderboard, can we have a constructors leaderboard aswell?
 
for the off weeks (or, longer breaks) can we have open testing like the preseason spot race but with laptimes posted instead of last sector times?
 
I agree with empty space, it would be nice to have test rounds on the off weeks 👍
 
Yeah, I'm really sorry that I didn't submit. Especially to you Soyfu. It's been a hectic week!

I will be racing the Australian GP. And to make up for my absence, I'll post some exclusive pictures from the actual Australian GP ;)
 
Not having a ps2 during break and having tests right after coming back from break is limiting my playing time right now. Hopefully I'll be able to actually start racing again after this week when all my tests are finished for a little while.

Hey dudes, i've started testing for the Aussie GP, I think that this time I will share my test times with you guys :D and after 20 minutes here was my fastest time 1'12.470 :) I havnt tried doing the full race yet.
 
I also was testing a bit and keep loosing the car in the fast chicane, turn 7 and 8 , I believe. Any suggestions, to solve this problem ???
 
Reduceing the amount of downforce on the front wing should do the trick.

After another half hour of testing this morning I now have my time down to a 1'11.571 :)
 
:scared: Yea, that chicane area is tough to figure out. I always get real loose in that section coming out. After my testing session, ran a fast lap of 1'11.8xx. Looks like this is going to be a real close one at the finish line. :nervous: :crazy:
 
After another run, I was playing with the front wing like you guy's mentioned but didn't work out. I changed my steering a bit to go through those corners without spinning. After that I played with the Traction Control and Driving Aids. Without Aids I was able to pull off a 1'11.239 !
Are you changing the Aids for the actual race? Tire life will be very short this way.
 
hm ... id like something offical, but, whatever :unsure: ill hit the track saturday.
 
Motivated Golden fastest so far in Melbourne

Ian Golden, director/driver of Golden Racing Technologies, returned to the F1 paddock today a man on a mission. The Canadian-American was a mysterious no-show at Sepang, for which he gave a reason in the form of a short press release. "Ian left Sepang on 15 March for California so he could be at his grandfather's aid while he lived out his final days. Mr. Muir passed away on 24 March, and the funeral took place on the morning of the 28th. In Mr. Muir's honour, the Golden R.T. team shall change their car's livery to include the Cross of St. Andrew on the nose starting at the Austalian event of the F1 championship."

Golden arrived with his cars to the Melbourne paddock at 9 AM local time and immediately caused a stir, as within 12 laps he had set the fastest time so far at 1'10.565. Although not available for comment, it is assumed that the time spent with his family has motivated Golden to push for a win to honour his late grandfather.

Unless im not allowed to I always use driver aids! :D I hate how everyone says you cant be as fast with driver aids as you can without... so i've kind of made it my mission to prove you CAN be as fast if not faster using driving aids :sly:
 
Well, I keep trying and some day I'll figure it out ! Did a 1'10.5xx earlier today and ran the race twice. Only gained 3 sec. on the final time :indiff:
 
:sly: Thats pretty close, mines closer by far. Missed my time from the second run by 6 tenths :eek:. 🤬
 
This race is not looking good for me :( Odly enough im having no problems through that chicane, I went through it 59 times out of 60 with no problems, its every where else that I crash >=( Im going to give this race one last try to get it right.
