Can I ask for a reason behind the harshness of that penalty for me. Considering I worked hard for the win and the maximum points, I think it's pretty harsh tbh. I was fair to seven throughout despite his erratic driving, and at T1 on lap 22 he ran very wide and was very slow. Even ask him? I couldn't avoid him because he had lost so much speed, the replay shows that this was down to his tyres being very worn. No damage was caused to either car and he lost no time and didn't cost him or me any places. Whereas seven binned Logic into the gravel and sent Karl into a barrier yet he only loses 1 and caused significant time loss. It's ridiculously unfair to me in my opinion and I'm really surprised by the harshness. Have you ever watched BTCC?

Can you clarify what should've been done in you opinion to avoid an accident, because I can assure you it wasn't deliberate and was unavoidable because of sevens skid and loss of speed.

I never caused any other accidents or incidents and yet I'm hit in the face with a severe penalty and not given a chance or benefit of the doubt unlike others. For a move that never affected the outcome of the race, and which I tried to avoid and never caused intentionally :O Shocking....... But I'd like to hear your opinion on it at least, I can't say anymore about it I suppose until then.

In my opinion we as stewards have to be consistent .

Yes , you may not have caused damage to either vehicle but there was contact and that is what we are trying to avoid .

Racing will always have contact but in chicanes we should always avoid contact .

I knew the replay made it look a lot worse than it probably was but with the advantage you had with fresher tires you could of chose a better place to overtake . You would of had other oppurtunities on the same lap .

The slower car will always defend its position so i think the faster car has the responsibility of overtaking in a safe manner.

As a steward i am just trying to promote the cleanest racing possible. I hope this helps to answer your questions .

Dude I can't back you up after you made 3 complaints about me , you t boned me I got damage and had to pit , the penalty system is as fair as can be , I accept mine take yours like a man.

I agree with 0 contact, I was inches away from seven for many laps and avoided contact and patiently waited until he made a mistake. I couldn't miss him without crashing myself on that chicane, it wasn't intentional at all.

How can you seriously say I t-boned you seven, you had no damage and never spun and pitted because your tyres were dead. We touched doors slightly and that was it. You stayed on track the whole time, I wouldn't be surprised if you intentionally slowed down at the apex to cause an accident or it was down to tyre wear. But the closing speed was high for some weird reason, unlike many other laps.

I'm just disappointed that I haven't been given any benefit of the doubt and singled out for a harsh penalty. Yet I kept my car clean with no damage for the whole race and worked really hard for the win. To be given such a harsh penalty for such a minor incident is an insult.

Hi Chris, i just wanted to add, yes you are a great guy and just what we want in our series, you train with us a lot and always post and show great community spirit, perfect for us.
4 stewards looked at the replay from many views and i am afraid to say it was rather a reckless move, and not like the style you drive.
As Stewards its not nice for us either, spending our time looking to punish you guys, as we dont want to do that at all.
Its not ideal i know, but if we get posts about all the incidents we make decisions on then it makes it a standard for everyone else to follow.
Just take it on the chin, and i am sure you wont suffer too much because of it over the season.
We cant make perfect decisions, but we do try to .

I had to take a look at the replay before saying my opinion, yes I think @xChris93_ could have been a little bit more carefull but still I think the penalty was a bit harsh, yes it wasn't his best move and there was damage involved but I'm sure it was minor seeing the incident. Anyway just said my opinion as a driver and I respect stewards's job as I'm one myself in another series.

I just find a bit unfair taking out Chris's win after the effort he put in and the race he made.
 
I have a quiery about this pit lane thing. I can't remember if damage is on in the tt qualifying room. If it is people will need to pit. if it isn't then ignore my post lol.

Also a little say on the incidents, it's actively encouraged that you go offline or take damage yourself rather than hitting/damaging a fellow racer.

I will be doing some training tonight if anyone is up for it.
 
I'd just like to say that I respect the stewards within this series, they have a difficult job and it's hard to completely understand what went on in certain situations and they have to make difficult decisions. Obviously everyone can see that I'm disappointed with the result and I feel that it was pretty harsh on me because I worked sooo hard during the race. Fighting with seven for so long was pretty exciting and challenging :lol: and we had a cracking race, there was a lot of pressure to not touch!

I misjudged his intentions on the infamous lap 22 1st chicane, I was content waiting behind because I knew it was a long race and confident with my strategy however he ran wide, scrubbed off a lot of speed and left a pretty large gap. I stayed on line to hit the apex of T2 and unfortunately seven didn't see me and also turned in. We touched and you all know the result by now :lol:

I would like to apologise to the stewards for questioning their judgement, I still feel it's very harsh but the general forum is not the place to do it! My advice to anyone in a similar situation when racing, wait and let the car pass then overtake them again! 💡 Wish I decided to do that now, I actually thought about it as well lol. Just kind of gutting that I lost the race because of a silly, careless incident which I felt was pretty insignificant at the time. Hopefully this sort of thing won't happen again to any of us! it's not a great feeling :lol: Much more fun to race and gain/lose places/wins on the track!

Drivers Notes.

1 Please ensure you are all in the room ready for the 10 minute duration Time trial qualy that will start dead on 18:30 UK time.
If you are late for this you will start from the back of the grid in the race.

2 There should be around 20 minutes of free practice before the race room is reset at 19.05 uk
please ensure you have changed your oild etc etc etc and are in the room ready to go as we will not wait.

3 There will be 1 complete pace lap and the leader will go exiting the final corner - No overtaking until after the start/finish line is crossed.

4 Ensure there is a reasonable gap between cars on the pace lap and the pace car will slow to bunch the field on the back straight ready for go. If you have damaged another car there will be penalty points

5 Ensure any incidents, especially contact with other cars are reported on this thread withing 24 hours of the start of the race - with the drivers involved and the lap of the incident - stewards will vote and issue penalty points for avoidable contact between cars.

6 The race will be long and there is plenty of time and room to pass other cars - DO NOT PUT OTHER CARS IN POSITIONS WHERE THEY HAVE NOWHERE TO GO - THE OVERTAKING CAR MUST TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND ENSURE THAT ANY MOVE THEY MAKE IS VERY CLEAN AND VERY FAIR - IF YOU DIVE UP THE INSIDE OF A CORNER AND THERE IS CONTACT - ENSURE YOU GIVE THE POSITION BACK - THE STEWARD WILL PENALISE ANY AVOIDABLE CONTACT

7 CARS BEING LAPPED ENSURE YOU CLEARLY MOVE TO ALLOW THE CAR LAPPING YOU SPACE TO PASS.

8 If you have a crash that leave your car undrivable it is fair to press the START button and let the autodrive return you to the pits. It is also fair to use the START button when you have crashed to turn and get your car from the crash and back onto the track - It is not ok to press the START button as or before you are having a crash - this is not something we have seen before and not something we will tolerate - If anyone sees any issues where they think this may have happened then you must report this to the stewards, as we have now found a way this can be checked.

It is important the this series has no car contact and take all effort to avoid them.

Remember also that the car weight you run will almost certainly change for the next race - dependent on your championship standings - listed on page 1 Index 7 - the new points standings positions will be posted on Wednesday after the results and any incidents and penalty points have been taken into account.

Please all ensure you qualify and race at the correct weights.
