Its a tough one for sure, my set up has changed for this one more than any other track. I spin a fair amount but am looking forward to an exciting race, I have no idea who is going to win either!
:)

I have family over this week so it's been tough to practice, but I shall try my best to make the race. Oh and I was practicing 2 days ago and I got a 1.47.699 at the cape. I tried all different setups, but I just went back to my original setup and got on with it.

Someone who finally cracks the 1.47! Nice time mate, should be a front runner if you can keep them coming. I thought 1.47 was possible but that is the FGT pretty much maxed out for the cape. I am going to try one more tweek on the settings tonight then I am ready to roll. Hoping for a top 3 finish tomorrow!

Its race day people!
The Cape beckons. The race room will be open around 615pm gmt for an extended practice session. Qualifying starts at the normal time of 645pm so ill see you all there :)

Race day...wooohoooo.bit hard to get into the "day" bit when its pitch black but i try.!!!!.Enjoy the race boys..

Enjoyed my first full race today!!
pleased with 2nd place after crashing first few corners,
a really exciting first half managing to get from last to third in 8 laps.
took a 3 stop pit strategy (nearly ran out of fuel 26th lap lol). On my own second half, was flying after 2nd pit stop, 1.49's and 1.50's.
then span twice on lap 31, but was trying to chop rhys gap down.

well done rhy!! good win and well done to my teammate in 4th!
tough race but may be a classic at monaco!!!!! 👍

Hello chaps,
Despite prior concerns about the track I enjoyed todays race and thought Cape Ring presented a unique challenge in driving and tuning. The laps may be reduced next season to 30 but I will discuss race length with you all at the end of this season.
My race went well today, and although I havent reviewed the replay yet I think it was clean and fair too. I started well, tussling with Ronin for the lead but after he spun I managed to hold it most of the race. I counted 6 off's for myself (3 on one lap!) and am pleased as it could have been many more. I will be keeping my pit strategy for next year as it seemed to work well and this is a vital part of a win. Nothing else to report apart from its heartening to see everyone improving as the season goes on, congratulations on a solid performance to Smart heart (7th) and Entersandman (2nd), not bad for your first full FGTC race.
:)

Well this Race was good although I hate this Track.
I haven´t trained on it (just 6laps offline and 4 before the race ;)) and I felt quite comfortable.
My Qualy was bad because I made my low 1:55´s during race (one 1:54.8xx as best I think) and not a 1:55 high like I did in Qualy -_-

My Start was superb almost 3rd at first turn. 4th throughout the first 3 sectors (was nice to keep up with the fastest xD).
But I couldn´t go the speed through that carousell thing curve. 225-232 kph was my maximum and 260kph was the max of rhyf during Qualy (how??)
=> there was my Time loosing zone.

I had a superb fight with Flood and Electric and while I pitted 2nd time I saw Electric spin two times and I kept my position => I knew I´ll be infront if no mistakes from myside.
I got Lapped but thats ok.

One thing in addition: I kinda like this Track now. You can get a superb flow and when your in that flow it´s easy and fun.

My Pitstrategy was good too (1st stop 13th lap 2nd stop 26th lap) and I had no problems even with rundown tires (I could have done 1-2 laps more each stint).
I feel sorry for runfast1 because he was way faster then me and only a Thunderstorm made him disappear. But he deserves the honor point.

If anyone has some issues tell them rhyf. He and I will do our work as Stewards if needed.

For Cote I´ll train a bit more ;)

Wow, great race for berty again, he's starting to look like jenson in the brawn. I for one am happy to see this race over with though, this track seems to bother me. KS I see what you mean by getting a flow at the ring though, my last couple laps were just happening on their own. Great job to sandman, he's gonna get quicker for sure. I think team Merc is coming for the podiums, I'm looking for a 1st and 2nd for us next race. Also the cat& mouse at the nurburgring was great.

KS- Am I sensing a little hint of love for the Cape????? I hope so because I personally want to keep this circuit for next season.
Glad you had a good scrap with electric and flood and that is the great thing about these races, I am happy as long as I am battling someone for position. I dont mind telling you exactly how to get 180 mph around the ring section, its all in the toe on the rear wheels being set for stability rather than turn in :) That 2 stopper worked well for you, it was my option if I dropped behind but didnt need it in the end so went for 3.
I have had no problems reported so your first race as steward is easy. I still watched the replay for fun though. I was really gutted for runfast too, hopefully he will be ok next week.

Ronin- Thanks man, Jensen is my favourite F1 driver so thats a big compliment. Shame Cape Ring bothers you as I have grown to enjoy it, maybe for obvious reasons :)
Team mercedes is looking VERY dangerous now, it may be a little late in the season but a few 1-2 finishes might be enough. You and sandman have proved that you have what it takes to win so ill watch that space. Its up to you guys but practicing together is a big help if you can get round the time differences. Sharing tunes and practicing has helped flood and me come on in leaps and bounds.

ALL DRIVER WARNING- Nethereal returns next week and he can motor at Monaco!!!!
:)

Congrats on 1st place berty:) man wat a bummer! First time all year we have a thunderstorm @ 3:00 pm! I was doing well then spun a few times then pit then ----------------------- w t ? ! I really wanted to see how it was gonna turn out if I finished. I think I was good enough for a top 5 finish. Now I will be busy at work because of the 2" rain we got. Lol Peace out.

Thanks runfast, unlucky this time but I missed out on Tokyo due to equipment failure so I know how annoying it is. Ill be practicing at 9pm GMT tonight if you want a run around. Sakery said you were flying out there so maybe 4th or 5th were possible, might see you a bit later!

Very hard race for me this week, this was my first race useing a steering wheel.:nervous: Thats not an excuse but a lot more physical effort is required and this poor old boy was knackered at the end.:grumpy:Still, looking forward to the next race.

Like someone mentioned before, Cape was like a mini endurance race so you did well for an old codger :) You did a good job considering how long you have had your wheel too, just be careful flood doesnt beat you at cote or it will be ear ache all week mate!
Practicing for an hour now if anyones about.

Hey ellis, the roster is full but I have messaged 2 inactive drivers and if I havent heard from them in 24 hours you can take one of their places.

....and i will do a video tommorow of a few battles between other drivers.Im limited to 12 minutes or so.

Tried to do the last 'B' spec 24 hour race but yet again at the end i didn't get the finish banner :banghead:, don't what the problem is ?, is it the ps3 or something in the house putting a big noise spike down the mains. Anyway back to the racing, had a practice run with flood this morning and we managed to set an identical time of 1:14.158 (NOW THAT'S SPOOKY :boggled:). I know berty will be much faster  so i'll have to keep practising

Haha yh electric spooky and rhy when I was practisin with electric my new best lap round cote d azur is 1.12.16?

Hey Brett. I just got back from holiday and am willing to race this sunday if there is any spaces left. I have been practicing and got a 1:12.177 which isn't too bad. I heard you got a 1:10.xx which is good! So if theres any spaces left, I'm in!

Hey troops,
PB- Thanks for uploading my slower lap mate! I hit a fence and missed no fewer than ALL of the apexes :( it must have been the pressure, luckily my second flyer was enough to qualify 3rd which is good for me as I am not the best qualifyer. Ill try posting a video on youtube sometime this week, look forward to seeing a few more from you.

ELECTRIC- I have no idea what is wrong with your ps3/game disc/electricity supply :) Search the site for an answer and if you dont get anything post the question in the Q and A section and you will receive help from someone, they are normally pretty good with tech stuff. You and flood getting identical times is kinda scary, the odds against it are huge, I remember when I finished 0.00.001 seconds in front of Rich Beck on Tokyo, that was pretty unrepeatable but I think I got a trophy for it.

Flood- 1.12 is a really decent lap mate you just need to sort out doing that EVERY lap and your on to a winner. Did your bro get the game today? (Dude, try and use capitals on here and no text speak or the moderators might tell you off, ok).

Etid- Hey Fergus, I saved your space, as you can see you are still on the roster, I enjoyed racing you at Indy so try and make as many races as you can. Hope Florida was good and you didnt leave too many broken hearted american girls behind!!!

Quite a bit of lag but I am chuffed with the pass I made on Ronin on the first lap, wide into the next corner but had enough traction to hold it....just :)
Thanks for catching me crashing and almost flying into the pits backwards lol
Cheers PB
