FIA GT at Zolder 25th Oktober -> Small report with pics

Hello fellow GTP-ers,

I am planning to go to the FIA GT race at the circuit of Zolder in Belgium on the 25th of Oktober 2009.

I am looking for fellow GTpers to meet up there. Is there anybody interested in going there?

It's a great change of seeing and hearing real racing cars. Also the one's that are not in GT games

Porsche GT3, Murcialago and the likes.

Entrance fees: 10 Euro's in presale. 15 Euro's on sunday.

I live in Geleen (near Maastricht) in the Netherlands. So I can pick up people if you're looking for transportation.

Sounds like a great idea. I plan to be there, but cannot be entirely certain yet.

Good to hear. Would be cool to visit the race with people that have the similar interests. Denur, have you visited other races?

I have visited a few race events at Zolder, last year Renault series at Spa and years back the F1 in Monza. 👍

oh cool yeah. I have been also a heavy visitor of Spa. Never been to Monza though. That IS an awsome track. Shame it's not in GT.

Maybe Monza will be in GT afterall. Who else is planning to go to Zolder? Don't be shy, I won't bite, nor will MarcoM (I hope).

OK, so I did bite the hamburger. The bun was freaking cold. But that's just rigth. Food at racing events have to be rubbish. It ads to the atmosphere.

The beer was cold and tasted good. Jupiler for the win. Especially when you can drink ik with nice people. And I must say that Denur and his friends where really nice people. Race car lovers. And espcially Denur having a love for GT and simracing, it resulted in some good conversations.

That is.... when we got the chance to do so. I mean a pack full of race cars howling and roaring around the beautiful Zolder circuit leaves very few opportunities for listening. But it was good fun. Even when you realize that we never met eachother before and even when considering the 1.5 hours waiting in traffic jam.
