FIA GT3 Championship -- "Super Car Twins at the Twin." Twin Ring Motegi East Short Course
The FIA GT3 Championship has reached half time in their Asian road trip. Up next, twin races at Twin Ring Motegi. This spectacular circuit is said to have a near capacity crowd for the stars of this traditional European GT series. For the fans, it is a heart-felt welcome back to a class considered very popular internationally in the late 1990's. Coming into the round, east has a championship lead but everyone chasing him appear to be ready for their time in victory lane.

Ten drivers are registered, and hopefully ten will finish race two. As learned last round there have been some changes to the cars. Drivers affected by any car changes will be informed privately.
RULES AND REGULATIONS CHANGE:
For qualifying rounds, the cars will run a Racing Super Soft Tire as usual. However, for race one racers will use Racing Soft tires and for race two racers will use Racing Hard Tires. The most recent change was announced in between rounds in Stuttgart, Germany. American driver m.piedgros will have his contract with Carsport/Riverside Racing terminated and he'll take a seat in the only entry for European racing powerhouse Larbre Competition. The cars primary sponsor, as usual with their Porsche entries, will be Chereau Porsche. piedgros had these comments; "Obviously I have feelings for the Carsport guys. But, as we've seen throughout this year, some teams don't manage to keep their finances straight and that bit [Carsport]. I now look to the future and am excited at the possibility of getting behind the wheel of a personal favorite manufacturer and racing for a big team. A privateer's title is on our minds first and foremost and we'd certainly have the secondary goal of helping Porsche in the manufacturers cup. Drivers titles are why a lot of guys race ... and I'm no different. I want it!"
DRIVERS BULLITEN:
The fastest two (2) lap times you achieve will set your grid postions for races one (1) and two (2). Please identify the race (1 or 2) each time is allocated to or I will just assume that the first time is for the first race, the second time is for the second race.
Please complete your lap times in GT Mode -- Real Circuits -- Twin Rings Moteigi (East) -- Practice
Take as many laps as you need. Try to fit them within two (2) one (1) hour sessions. I.e. Race for an hour, STOP, record your top two (2) lap times, go get a drink, chill... then start session two (2). Again, take as many laps as you need, however you can take as few laps as you need as well. Try to compete in both sessions, but that is not necessary. If you run for 10-15 minutes and stop, the session won't stop untill one (1) hour has past from the time you started. Try to keep that in mind. If there are any scheduling conflicts notify MPR immediately. (Throughout the next week try to find a block of time where you could fit in two hours of Gran Turismo, otherwise just run what you can and give me your top two (2) lap times.)
Keep two (2) wheels on the track at all times. FIA rumble strips are a part of the track. *MPR are currently trying to find off-track or illegal parts of the track.* If there are cones on the circuit, do not knock them over, please report any off-course excursions and any cones you knock over. If your fast lap has one of the above involved, disregard that lap, it is illegal. NOTE: Touching the wall in any mannor, makes the lap illegal. Be fast, be careful.
NO proof (be it replay or photo) is necessary, however if you have a digital camera and would like to photograph your qualifying times as proof, go ahead.
At the conclusion of your qualifying tell me how many laps you ran, in both sessions, and giving me the following information is imparative!
Driver Name:

#:
Team:
Session 1: (Provide all T times) (Provide Total Time)
Session 2: (Provide all T times) (Provide Total Time)
Note: Session one (1) and session two (2) times don't have to be from session one (1) or session two (2) specifically, just provide your two (2) top times.
I am already accepting qualifying times. Get out on the circuit and lay down some rubber while there is still limited traffic. QUALIFYING TIMES ARE DUE FRIDAY, JULY 14 2006, AT 7:59.00PM CDT. This is in order to get a fast turn around on session results.
Side-Notes:
*Round 3 could see yet another change. The cars are expected to have to be down-graded in terms of technology in the transmission/drivetrain.
*The two All-Star events will be voted on by FIA GT3 Championship members and a verdict will be made on whether or not to continue the races.
*MPR may start hounding drivers that do not cooperate with regulations (time submission for races etc.) MPR will private message drivers yet to hand in a race time at with around 12 hours to the deadline. If the driver fails to submit, they will be given the opportunity to explain their absence but it will be to MPR's discretion what their punishments will be. Punishments will fit the crime.
