Alright gentlemen. I'm throwing my hat into the ring. I'll be running a Corvette Z06.R as a privateer under the banner Carsport/Riverside Racing. The teams are baisically set. We have under two days before the opening round is announced, and I expect the field to look the same come the first green flag on Friday. Here is the breakdown on the season.
We have two big powerhouses. Red Devils Racing, using Ferrari equipment these guys look strong. Drivers; AngelCreator, InsaneRacer, and RedOak. The second of our powerhouses would be Ace Motorsports Team Aston Martin Europe, whoa that's a mouthfull in itself! No joking about these guys. Using Britains Aston Martin for the base, they will bring three DBRS9's to the track and look to compete early on. Drivers; wasace96, drunkster and Filizola.
Next, we have a couple of two-car teams. These teams shouldn't be taken lightly. First, Team Porsche Europe. No matter what continent, Porsche always seem to be competitive and/or dominant in competition. They should be good here with the brand new Porsche 997 GT3 Cup cars, two of which will be wearing TPE liveries. Drivers; Ls2_297, and SK_HI. The second of the two driver teams is American Iron Racing. Representing the good ol' U.S. of A are drivers, Head and ICallShotgun in their big engined tourqey Vipers and Corvettes. Expect to see a challenge from both drivers as Dodge Motorsports (the official track-vehicle supplier of GT3) will be bringing their A-game to return to the international GT scene and Corvette, already heavyweights in GT1 competition will be on their proverbial horses ready to win.
Now I bring you to the privateers. These are teams that can concentrate efforts on the one car, despite the disadvantage of track time and data sharing. We'll get the ball rolling with two teams running cars we've already mentioned. First, from the pacific rim, is driver Hiroki and the 910 Racing Team Ishimatsu Porsche 997 GT3 Cup. This team will compete for privateer honors and I wouldn't be surprised to see this driver on the top step of the pdium in our immediate future. Next, is Carsport/Riverside Racing. Driver m.piedgros will be looking to get in a couple of wins and contend for the privateer championship. He also intends to help Corvette out with a shot at the manufacturers title despite there being only two 'Vette's in the championship. Finally we get to a car setting its own course. This is the awe-inspiring Lamborghini Gallardo GT3. Lamborghini as a factory have not been hailed in many circles as a legendary race car but with ultra quick driver east and the east Autosports team, they look to change that image and do nothing less than dominate. They sure have got off on the right foot as east has put in a remarkable performance at pre-season testing to date at Monaco, leading the charts pretty comfortably!
So there you go. thirteen drivers, seven teams, six cars, and one heck of a championship to be expected. Action starts this Friday at Suzuka, you don't want to miss it!

P.S. I may be getting repetitive, but sign-ups are always open. Sign-up! Even if you can race only one round, or one session, the competition is welcomed by all our drivers.
