Used Joovut's settings completely (except substituted the wheel for a DS3).

Aside from a desperation dive into the hairpin through the grass, I had a flawless run and I needed that dive through the grass and cutting through the corner. I passed the A2 on that dive and then lost the lead right back. I won by 0.031 seconds because of a great final corner and upped acceleration.

Wow the same exact thing happened to me, I cut the corner passing the A2 and the A2 barely nudged by passing me back, but I just barely passed it on the final corner on the outside. I was actually pumping my fist in the air because I was so exited to be done with this event.

Got 2nd first attempt with a completely stock Fiat. After seeing where I could get my time at, got 1st by 3 seconds or so on the second attempt. I almost thought this one was a bit too easy.

idk ive dont it about 15 times and second every time. i put 1:19 and 1:20 times down and still finished 8 seconds behind the leader once and im maxed on weight and hp got aero, sport suspension and 6 speed tranny should i go full transmission upgraade

After about 3hrs of constant attempts and always coming up .5 seconds behind the lead car, I had no choice but to cheat:indiff: at the last hairpin I cut through the track and pinned him to the wall. I was able to win after by about .6 seconds. One of the most frustrating challenges yet.

This is seriously hard. I golded all the other seasonal events on my first try but this just seems impossible :O

Finally beat it with Joovut's setup. Took a couple of tries though. I was running a low 1:21 on the first lap and low 1:20s the rest of the race. Tried to keep the entry speed at about 40-45mph and exit as close to 40mph as I could. Had to crowd the Audi right before the checkered and won by 0.027seconds. Probably not the best way to do it, but I'm very happy to have finally gotten gold on this event and be done with it. :D

You people that win this with a stock car or on your first attempt are clearly VERY good drivers, stop saying its "easy", cause it ain't... your just good. I'm an average driver (gold x 24, silver x 30, bronze x 6 on the tests) and it took me alot of work to win this even after using ever mod possible.

Tips: not sure who settings I based my off of but stiffing the springs and reducing the roll bars helped. Listen to tires carefully, if you hear squealing your losing traction and time adjust your line, braking points or suspension as needed. The first turn can be taken quicker if you brake in two sections, slow the car down on the straight, then accelerate to the apex with a touch more braking before taking off at full speed. When I first did this challenge I was trying to do all my braking before turning in but the corner tightens, so you can go faster in the first half of the turn without scrubbing speed. Also you can cut the tight left hander - notice that's not grass its just green painted road. For the last tight turn dropping down to 2nd gives you more acceleration, I was trying to coast thru in 3rd but that wasn't helping. I passed the A2 on entry to the final turn, winning by .3xx, easily the hardest race for me in GT5 to date.

What is the purpose of coming into a thread like this and just saying how easy it is? It doesn't help anyone...it just annoys everyone. The thread is intended to help others. If you don't have helpful tips, don't post.

::takes deep breath and exhales::

There...now we'll never see this type of behavior ever again on GTP! I fixed it!

Gold last night, finally! I used some tuning suggestions in this thread, and put on the aero kit.

I also tore open my Fanatec Turbo S standard pedals and reseated the potentiometers - after that I golded 3 seasonal events and silvered one more. i was struggling before on all of them. lesson learned - make sure your equipment is fully functional. Having only 97% throttle is a big hindrance!

I bought only the window weight reduction and the air filter, then the clutch plates and flywheel. Make sure you have the right tires (often overlooked).

Take off ALL the assists and TC ABS and ASC. Absolutely NOTHING on. Car is too low powered to need them, and they ALL slow you down.

The trick with this one is to mass round the corners with the MINIMUM braking you can possibly get by (as late as possible in traffic), and get on the gas as soon as possible. Use manual transmission, and use engine braking by downshifting a little earlier than normal, helps you mass round easier. Use drafting as much as you can, mass round the outside of the last car before the final finish line.

I was 8sec off before the mods. Got gold my second try after adding them. Just time all those passes to the last second (stay in the draft as long as you can) and it isn't nearly as hard as it seems when you first try it.

I also finally got gold on this one yesterday. Another helpful tip is you really can't afford any bad laps. If you mess up and run one over 1:21, I recommend restarting. If you run them all under 1:21, you'll likely win. Also, you should be able to stay on the gas in 5th gear throughout the last turn. That's a good place to gain time.
