I've been playing this for a week or so and it actually isn't bad, not bad at all. First, people used to WE won't have problems adapting to FIFA's control scheme since they copied WE's. It's exactly the same! It's not the default configuration, but the alternative one has all the buttons set up like in WE. The only difference is the quick tactic shortcut in the left analog stick, or d-pad as you chose.
The graphics are good, the characters look even more realistic than WE's models. But the frame rate is low, and sometimes it drops even more. That will also depend on the camera you're using. There's a lot of animations too, some better than WE and some worse. Those cut-scenes that appear when there's a faul, a free kick or something I think are better on FIFA. But I prefer WE's goals celebration.
The gameplay isn't bad either. I thought it was gonna suck, and at first it did a bit because the ball's physics is not very spot on. Sometimes its movement feels unnatural and a bit unpredictable, Winning Eleven definately has better physics than this game. But after a while you get used to it and the game becomes very enjoyable.
I've been playing WE since the psone and I never played FIFA again after I started playing Winning Eleven. And I play it a lot because that's all my friends can and want to play. I guess I needed a break from it, and FIFA '07 was a pleasant surprise for me. Overall it has its plus and cons when comparing it with its main rival, and I still like Winning Eleven better, but this is a good game too. It helps that you have all licensed teams with their correct badges and uniforms, there's a lot of Brazilian clubs witch makes it feel more familiar to me so there's a big plus too, and there's a lot of things to do so this game will keep me busy for a long time.
By the way, the Spanish commenter (I think he's Mexican) sucks. He doesn't even pronounce the player's names, at least not the Brazilian ones. So stick with the English commenter.
