The FUT 14 web app is up early and it's working too. I didn't get anyone good though .:grumpy:

Even though I wont be getting it, I've opened a few packs. The main thing I've noticed it is exactly the same apart from the chemistry style cards. Not sure what effect they will be having.

There are a few small changes but no big ones. Did you get anyone good?

Yeah slow, everything is so clunky. You press a button and it takes the player an age to respond. If you tap the sprint button he boots it 10 foot in front of him. Playing with Messi feels like playing with a keeper outfield on FIFA 13. Horrendously slow and dim witted.
I haven't played a FIFA game in ages but I honestly thought FIFA14 had a nice speed to it. Felt really good. But then again, coming from Senior Citizen Soccer 2014, umm, I mean PES, everything is faster and quicker.

I got Terry. Should I sell him?

I was expecting prices to be astronomically higher. A Valdes just sold for 2,600 and Jordi Alba is on quick sell for 17K. I was figuring Alba would be at least twice as much as last year.

I can't get onto the web app. Security questions abound.

Though I now definitely know the Eredivisie will be the only league I bother with on UT this year. Given the lack of formation cards, I'll need way too many cards from the league. Just to comprehend how much talent there is.

I'll also be doing a career mode with PSV. Because they look even better than Vitesse from FIFA 12.
And if I don't do it with them, I could still do it with any other team and be well set.

If Drogba is 8K on launch day this is gonna be a good year. It seems too good to be true...

Some players will have lower prices due to there not being many coins on the market so expect prices to slowly rise over the next few weeks

Should I save my players until the game comes out? I pulled Biabiany and I don't know whether I should cash in or wait.

I kinda figured. Darn.

I don't think I'm savvy enough to make money on this thing.

What do you recommend for the front? I really like the look of Villarreal up front, since he's got 4* WF and skills, along with good finishing. I chose Fagundez and Lambe because they seemed like a good mix of pace and dribbling, with Fagundez having 4* skills as well.

A lot of the players in that team are so undervalued as well.

For RM Cato for his sheer pace (91) plus he is under 1000 coins atm

LM - Smith. Best bronze LM in the MLS that I can see

CAM - Joseph is your best bet from what I can see

ST - Brown, or if you want super pace, Plata

Its naff but pace in bronze means much more! Trust me! Because of the weak defenders it really will help.

Goalkeeper get Pickens because of the good reflexes and diving which is the most important two of the lot for goalkeepers. Plus he has a nice beard!

Irwin, he is better. No beard though!

I ended up buying Tornaghi as my GK, since he was the best I could afford. I need some more stuff to sell before I can actually upgrade the team.

I picked this guy for my CAM, since everyone over 70 pace was going for a few hundred coins. He looks like a good play maker, and his shooting looks incredible.

Bruma
Although if CM in 14 is anything like 13, "Potential" doesn't really mean that much. I have players in my CM that ate 6+ points higher than their "potential" so... yeah.

Not that impressed by Bakkali if I'm honest. He's tiny, weak, not as fast as Deulofeu or Bruma, nor is he as good of a winger (crossing, etc) as Deulofeu or Bruma, and while his "potential" is higher, that hardly means he'll end up being better, since Overall has little to do with how good a player actually is, especially if you play them even slightly out of position.
I'll take a pass. Maybe if he was 5 inches taller and 30-40 pounds heavier...

Bruma is definitely top 5, but it's worth noting he's actually gonna be at Galatasaray for Career Mode, so no buys straight away from him. The snob.

Potential is quite important if you plan to buy the players later - since they will grow to their potential if you don't actually buy them they'll be at the higher rating when you buy them later in the career. That's why you want to buy Deulofeu at an early point...except because he's on loan at Everton (from Barca B as opposed to Barca itself...), you can't for the first season.

I do realise and acknowledge size issues that such players face, but I think that they can get around it with sufficient stats. And I think that Bakkali's 86 dribbling will be sufficient enough for him to work with to begin with, and certainly more so as it gets higher with his superb potential.

Only 4 other players below 75 have at least 86 dribbling - 3 of them have at least 80 potential. Oliver Torres is particularly worth noting, as he even has superb passing to go with. Just make sure you never press circle or B with him...
(Suso is another one of those players but he's on loan...)

Less than 24 hours! Trying to decide how long I want to save up before buying a team. I may wait until I can afford Drogba and link him with Yilmaz.

The epicness that is the relative cheapness of Galatasaray players. I'm particularly excited about Melo and Sarioglu (Sarioglu was a champ when I managed Turkey in CM), and I couldn't choose between Bruma and Amrabat so I threw them on both wings.

Maybe I'll be able to afford it in a week or two.

Those center backs were all around at the start of last year. I'm more excited about those who weren't and are all new at the start of FIFA 14.

So I went with the digital version because I'm getting a PS4, so the 10$ upgrade thing will work, only 6 hours then I'm gonna play

My brother can't wait
Heh, well i'd love to get Fifa 14 this week, but BF4 beta is just around the corner and I am also mid-way on my 2nd save on GTA V.

There is just not enough time to play it all.
