At parties after my friends have finished refusing to play any form of racing game against me :sly:, we usualy play tekken or soul calibur. We came up with our own crazy set of rules which i still don't understand :)

I'm not realy a fan of fighting games, I find them too simple, but they realy are fun when playing with a group of people.

oh, and Heihachi looks identical to my History teacher :scared:

Fighting games not deep enough? There is a great deal more to games such as Soul Calibur and Virtua Fighter than group button mashing. Go along to an arcade tournament to see what I mean. 👍

Tekken(3,5) and Soul Calibur 2 for me.And my favourite character(s) are Kazuya Mishima and Kazama Jin(as pronounced in Japanese).

At the moment I've unearthed Marvel v capcom 2. Me an the guys spend hours in two player mode. Fav characters: Ken, Megaman and Juggernaut . My fav games are Tekken 3 with Hwoarang , Streetfighter 2 Turbo with Ryu and Killer Instinct with Orchid.

Virtua Fighter's the game 4 me. So deep with loadsa stuff to learn an many techniques to master, best un-armed combat game about :sly:

Eh, i'd have to say Street Fighter Zero 2 is my favorite. I liked Zero 3 but, I only realy used the Z-Ism style and it just feels a bit wierd compared. Also i'd have to say rival schools was a favorite as well, although it was completely indecipherable in Japanese. Awesome game though, although the second version didn't seem as good. Although to be honest I don't really play fighting games anymore.
I never liked Tekken, it just seemed too complex, although I remember playing Soul Calibur on the DC with mates loads of times, SC2 wasn't bad but it just didn't interest me after a while.

Edit: My favorite characters were Dan from SFZ2 and probably Mitsurugi in SC.

Hiya! :D :embarrassed: :lol: Meow! (='.'=)

My favorite fighting games are Marvel Vs Capcom 2, Soul Calibur II and Tekken 5.

I am not that good in MVC2 as now I changed my team from Cable, Psylocke, Captain Commando INTO a top tier team of MSP! :embarrassed: (Magneto, Storm, Psylocke) It's so hard for me to play as MSP because I am not use to Magneto since he require such advance skills in order to just do damage at an incredible rate. Same goes to Storm! :embarrassed: Psylocke is different because I am good with her, but I just use her as a Anti-Assist to help Magneto start up his air combo, Hyper Grav and cancel into MAGNETIC TEMPEST!!!!!:mad:

For Soul Calibur II, I LOVE IVY! :embarrassed: I wasnt really playing her in the dreamcast version until the PS2 version. Some of her new moves and stances just got me interested in her all of a sudden. By the way, I guess I can say I am good with Ivy because I beat all my friends an d relativse very easily with constant "keep away."
Don't get too close to me either because I can do Summon Suffering and Calamity Symphony and I am not afraid to use it. :embarrassed:

Now for Tekken, I am very LATE in the Tekken series. I have never played Tekken 1, 2 and Tag. I only played Tekken 3 for a month at a friends house and managed to beat it with Yoshimitsu. Tekken 4 was when I tried to get back into it again, but jeez...Tekken 4 was dissapointing...Then later, I stumbled onto Tekken 5 at an arcade! Too bad I only have 1 dollar that time with me, but I did have a lot of fun! :embarrassed: Just 1 dollar and 1 character to choose.....hmmm who did I pick?

ASUKA!!!! I always pick a girl first because its like a natural reaction when its a girl playing a game, we just pick girls first because we feel confortable playing as the same gender! :embarrassed: I LOVE ASUKA!!!!! I LOVE HER ALOT!!!! I thought Jin, Cristie and Panda were my favorite until I played as ASUKA! SHE IS SO COOL! :embarrassed: I cannot WAIT until I get my Tekken 5 BUNDLE THIS WEEK! :embarrassed:

I love 2D fighting games. My favorites are;

Street Fighter 2: Champion Ediotion
Street Fighter Alpha 1-3
Street Fighter 3
the vs. series (with Marvel vs. Capcom 2 being my favorite)
Guilty Gear
Final Fight
Streets of Rage
King of Fighters
Fatal Fury
Samarai Showdown
... & many others.

I like 3D fighters too just not as much. My favorites are;

the Tekken series
Soul Calibur 2
Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance
Virtue Fighter 1-4
...& many others

Can't forget the runner up for the sidescroll fighter award: Mortal Kombat 2. Still have it and Street Fighter 2 (Sidescroll champion).

I really haven't gotten much into the 3D stuff. I bought Tekken 4 on a whim about 2 years ago. I've played it probably 10 times. It seems to dry and...I don't know just empty and lacking.

I'm lookin' for a decent 3D fighter for the PS2 so reccomendations are appreciated!
