Filter TT results by car?

I know you can't but it couldn't be that hard to do.

It would add so much more depth to the TTs.

It really stinks we don't have permanent tt's like we had in 5p. The fact there are no proper filters for the tt's we do have is a joke as well, boo. Here is an idea for you though, if you and your friends can all choose a car(presumably not the 'hot' pic) you can use the 'friend' filter and have a nice ongoing battle that way.

Currently nobody on my friends list is using the Dome in the Japanese TT. My car at this point is the 2000GT. Tons of fun and easy gold, even fully stock. But I did put suspension and tranny in it after I had already golded it to see if I could beat my friends list. I did manage to get to the top of the list, and with the oldest car.

But eventually I will have to give the Dome a go just to see how I can do. And that will wipe out my 2000GT time.

It would be 👍 👍 if I could filter by car and see how I'm doing against others in the 2000GT. For all I know I'm the fastest in that car (OK, not likely).

But it would be great to know. And how hard could that be PD?

Would be nice to have a gt prologue style leaderboard,
In fact I missed that old style for a long time.
But this format makes it more competitivewith only 2 weeks to set your time.

I would like if everybody got the same exact car for the seasonal TT's
And there was also a GT Prologue type leaderboards, but just for premium cars.

I think you are biased by the fact that you are competitive at the top.

There are 20,000 of us "regular" players for every one of you. And yes we would hunt around trying to find a car that we might get a top time in. That would make the game more interesting to us, without making it less interesting for you.

Filtering by car wouldn't affect you at all, since you'd still be in the fastest car going for top time overall.

You run a hundred laps and cut 2 tenths off your time and you move from P2 to P1.

I think you can see how that might make you see things differently than the other 100,000 of us running the TTs.

Actually I agree with you, It would be awesome to filter by car, and also by region.
It would make the TT's fun for longer, competing nationaly as well as per car.
More Competitions in one TT, and the people who just want to go fastest would still try do so in the best car for the restrictions.

Also if your in the top 990 times thats usually top 1% of times posted.

I think the answer to all this would be to force everyone to use a certain car, like they do in the GT Academy and in the recent Top Gear TT vs David Coulthard. That's the only way to see who are truly the fastest drivers. The only thing I don't like about it is the fact that we wouldn't be able to adjust our own setups. That is good for some players who don't know how or don't like to mess with the suspension settings and stuff but, in my opinion, just as in real life, a truly great driver knows how to setup their own car. By that I mean that, in real life racing a driver needs to be able to speak to his mechanics and tell them what is good or bad about the handling etc, so that they can adjust the car to suit him. A great driver gives great feedback.
In the game if you know how to adjust the setup to stop the car oversteering/understeering or whatever then surely that makes you a better driver than someone who doesn't. But I could be wrong =o)

Filtering results by car would be a huge plus for me.

I hardly ever drive the fastest car in these time trials, instead I usually go for something I WANT to drive. For example, in the latest Spa TT, I used the Peugeot 905. Since other cars are faster than the Pug (notwithstanding I'm running at 724pp), the leaderboard is almost exclusively littered with formula cars and no 905s. I have no idea how my time compares to other 905 users. If I could filter results by car, It would give me more motivation to aim for a faster time and put more time into the TT.
