Anyone have this game? I'm interested in buying it but I have no idea if it follows in the traditional Final Fantasy heritage of great storylines and awsome gameplay. Is it worth it?

Actually I liked FF9. However I do have FF7 as my favorite (it was my first RPG ever) Followed by FF8. FF9 is my least favorite but still better than many RPG's out there.

first of all, its not the same as the rest of teh series, you can see the monsters and its not turnbased although you do just click and select attack and then you character keeps atacking and you do nothing, but cast spells or use abilities or use items or anyother thing.

You do have to pay for it. Here is how it is:

extra char=$0.00
second monsth=$6.00(about)
extra char=$.50
third month+=$12.00(about)
extra char=$1.00
you can have about 18 chars total i believe.
Its a great game, but im about to switch to a better one...

Are you gonna have to pay for it online on ps2? Because I think you pay for Everquest?

yeah you pay for both PS2 and PC
This game is my first MMORPG, and I love it. It's got very addictive qualities, and the people who play are very nice. It doesn't take much of a computer to run it, just google the benchmark program for FFXI and see how your PC scores. Once March hits and PVP comes, this game will get even better. I highly recommend it.

I found a free MMORPG online called biosfear www.biosfear.co.uk really good for a free game! try it out!
