amazing grind with some amazing intense races, My B-Dude named M.Meyers like the serial killer in the Halloween Movies did great, he won alot of races and never made mistakes. People keep complaining about the bad AI, lol there is no bad AI in B-spec just bad button mashing from people that don't understand when to tell B-Dude to pace up or overtake. If the bar is in the blue/cool area, then B-dude will do great and win races but if it goes in the red area, he will mess up sometimes, not all the time. GT5 is awesome!

No offense to you but I don't think I could put myself through all that. A bleach smoothie sounds more appealing.

Any tips / pointers as to how to get to this level?

The only times my Bob has won any races so far is when I've let him loose in the early competitions with a Stealth GTR. He's only at level 4 so far...

I think the question was: Am I the greatest player alive?

But hey, at least I got some great advice that anyone at bspec level 3 could have given. I've learned that I'm a horrible button masher and the bspec ai is flawless... It's perfectly natural to transform into the Tasmanian Devil and confuse Nascar with Gymkhana because some jerk has the nerve to be on YOUR racetrack!

Words of advice from Bspec Bob:
Give them a false sense of confidence by giving up the inside line on turn 1 and then blow by them as though they're in another class by passing them on the outside in turn 2!!!

a question for you, when in b spec your drivers have an arrow next to their helmet (when you click into a series ie amateur) what is the meaning form, happyness??

thanks

I believe it is to do with whether they need a rest or not. Downward Orange for eg shows they need resting.

It's supposed to be a mood indicator that will effect how they perform. Bspec Bob 1 is the happiest guy on the planet until I put him in a championship.

lol there is no bad AI in B-spec

So my Bob parking up the back of other cars while telling him to overtake, constant braking on straights and over the start/finish line of Daytona, a reluctance to pass other cars and make it stick (i.e. getting side by side with them then overbraking to allow them back in front when they get to a turn) and generally strange accelerator/brake fluctuations when any other racer (including non-Bob AI) would just floor it and go are MY fault?

The AI isn't just bad, it's woeful. Ok, he does improve as he levels up (he's just lapped the entire field in the Formula GT race at Indy) but he STILL brakes at Daytona, regardless of what I'm telling him or what his heat level is.

The B-Spec dude drives fine after he gets some levels under him. If he is full blue he will drive slow and careful. You will not win races when he is full blue unless he has a better car than the field. If you manage him and keep him near the center he will drive well and fast once he has some level.

It is easy to level up Bob and your overall b spec level once you get to the endurance races. Right now I have 4 drivers runnign the Indy 500 and letting them use the FGT so there is no need to even pay attention to the race. They will win by several laps everytime and get lots of xp in the process.

As of the start of the race I was approaching level 29 and have 2 drivers that are level 27, 2 at level 25 and 2 at level 23. When I go to bed tonight I will start them on it again and before long will be level 30 and able to enter the next endurance race.

This is what I do. I find you can take 3 solid drivers and 1 absolute rookie (Level 0) and throw them in a 4 person endurance race. After 3 in a row that level 0 Rookie will not be in the high teens.

Easiest way to build a full roster of superstars.

Also, a tip for those that are doing the nascar series and are frustrated with Bobs lack of performance. The key to manipulating Bob in any race is to properly setup the car. Adjust the final drive on the transmission and make it so he can out accelerate everyone else. On nascar for the short circuits I made the car top out at 199 and 236 on the longer tracks, stock is 249 and is what the competition is set at.

As per level 40.. I'll be very close by the end of this weekend, my guys are on 2.5hr endurance missions. If I make it, I will update with my findings.

Funny how he never got back in this thread after posting that. I am calling bs on the level 40, sorry guys

hmmm, some of us go out u know, i have a job, wife, kid, dog, home, cars, etc. etc. That's why I grinded B-Spec alot, no time yet on A-Spec, maybe during christmas holidays. Plus i own an Xbox also and have more games for that console. I just signed up on this site because I love GT5.

there are 2 trophies for B-Spec 40, one for reaching B-Class 40 and the other one for reaching the Highest Point in your drivers career. The B-Class 40 is easier and comes first. The other trophy takes a while longer in order for your B-Guy to retire or start losing points/skill during races.

There is bad AI in bspec just as there is in aspec. If your driver is aggressive and tries to brake late, the AI will run into him.
If your guy is in the blue, you're doing it wrong. He will be careful and follow the racing line at his slow pace. He will be overtaken. The point is to keep it above the middle mark and as the driver progresses in levels, you should keep him at about 75% or higher, he will rarely make mistakes and his pace will be optimal.

You have all that going on and still managed to get to bspec level 40 much much faster than me. I have been running bspec for about 3-4hrs a day. I had it running while doing homework, doing chores and while working. I just got to level 22 and just level 21 took about 2hrs doing LIKE THE WIND.

Hey did you get an X1 at level 35? thanks.

I am B-Class 40 and Career B-Class 34 1/2 lol, i have an endurance race going as i type this and will be Career B-Class 35 later this afternoon. I will confirm this in a few hours. The X-1 supposedly unlocks at Career B-Class 35 not regular B-Class 35. Didn't u guys notice that there are 2 B-Class trophies but one is called Career Milestone or something like that, plus when a race ends the XP is given to 2 stats, it took me awhile to notice this also. I actually noticed this when I reached B-Class 30 and got the trophy but my career B-Class was in the low twenties. Weird system PD, lol i hope they improve it for GT6.
