Finally won the Speed 12

Well, I've had a very productive weekend - on pro level finished off the Elise trophy, the Roadster races, the Zonda races and the TVR Speed 6 series - now just over 96% - just got the JGTC to run to finish pro level (and then about half the enduros - no problem - and then the time trials for Tokyo - should be okay - and then Tahiti and Complex String :nervous: ).

Anyhoo - I managed to win the Speed 12 from the TVR series, and, I'm glad to say, it's the same angry old car I remember from GT2. Fantastic!!!

As an example, after an oil change and on medium tyres, quicker than a fully tuned Zonda C12S on supersoft slicks. Lovely.
 
Ironically, I was chanting 'Speed 12 Speed 12 Speed 12' and the moment I saw which silhoutte it was I pressed the d-pad in that direction.

Stupid coincidence no doubt - but still, made me feel pretty damn good...
 
In a championship and you want to win a certain car do this.

At the End of race 9 save it.

You must be 11 points ahead of the second place in the championship.

Now enter race 10 and just muck about if you want.

Quit the race.

Now if you won the championship you will get the championship bonus and the car winning screen.

If you don't win the car you want.

Just accept the one you got then reload the game from where you saved it.

Which should be at the end of race 9.

The Speed 12 would be better if it had the race modificated version (drool)
 
Whatta you guys think of the speed12 with full modifications? I know in GT2 I couldn't drive it worth a squat because of all the power and how light it was!! (then again I didn't like the analog sticks and of course the buttons weren't analog yet, so that didn't help anything!!) I haven't won it yet on GT3, guess I'll get to check it out myself whenever I go race that race.. Oh, I like the chrome illusion style paint too, never seen that stuff in a game until GT3 :D

I much enjoyed the speed 12, before full mods! then i did everything i could to it, and now its got so much power you have to be light on the gas from 1st through 4th gear! its like driving the zonda except its even more moody! i would recomend to anyone who gets it, if they want to do the mods, do everything but wutever you do DONT LIGHTEN IT! with all that power etc... its just a pain in the ass when it lightened. flys around too quick. im sure with practice and patience i will get the hang of it and enjoy it alot. but i think it would be a better experience with more wieght. just my opinion. you can always save the game right after you win and try out diff mod combos. either way its still a pretty behemoth! 😈
 
I love drive ing the speed 12 in Mannual on complex string. This car is for people that wanna crusie around! It rocks!
 
The Cerbera is really like the helldog it is named after !!
I ran her in the complex string too in the Run & Settings screen...

The power slides are like rodeo !!! Yeeee haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Am I correct in saying that you can upgrade your parts on the car and just change them back to normal parts when you want to participate in a "normal" race?

I guess except for the weight reduction.
 
and the couple of engine mods such as port and polish, balancing and the displacement upgrade.. I believe that names all of them, (counting what you said)
 
my speed 12 is a purple metallic one :cool: and this ride is one of the best in the game , i've booted it round many a course in it and have yet to spin it , awesome machine with an engine sound 2nd to none in gt3 ;) gt40 takes the 2nd spot here :D
