only see one mesa while driving a go kart in commerce. I think that this was a glitch but a huntly spawned infront of the driving school instead of a hotknife? only happened once though

I have also seen a Huntley spawn instead of a Hotknife and when I tried to get in, it was locked. Only had it happen once to.

in santa maria beach?? in LS.

Yeah the mesa is also at the finishe line of the chillad challenges, somtimes, ive only seen it once there as well.

Yeah, I think I posted this a while back. Mine wasn't locked though. I grabbed it immediately and put it in my garage as I wanted to use it as my car. I don't understand that either.

I had a Huntley spawn there too, and it was right when I needed it for I/E. I suspect it only pops up then, just like the Euros.

Where is the Pheonix at? The only one I've driven in is the one in the race at San Fierro.
if you need it for I/E the easiest thing to do would be to start the race and stick the car in one of your garages

Yeah, I'll try that. So I'm guessing you haven't seen it around either?

ive only seen it in a mission and in the races, though you dont need it for I/E anyway

also if the garages dont open just drive it to the back of wang autos right near where the SF race spot is, when you exit out the phonix will be there

Thanks for the help guys. 👍

I've noticed that a lot of cars aren't around after you finish Import/Export, and they are only there for when you haven't done them. For example, I've been back to that place up in Paradiso quite a few times to get the Infernus there, but it's never parked there. I hear it's the same with the Euros. I suspect quite a few cars do this.

If you grab a Landstalker and drive around the roads near the Driving School a lot of Huntleys seem to appear.
I'll restate my thoughts. I'm sure this doesn't happen. Certain cars don't spawn because you're driving another, I'm sure of it. The area you are in helps, but not the car you are driving. The car you are driving should only spawn other types of that car.

I proved someone wrong when they told me I wouldn't find a Huntley driving a Blista Compact... That made my day.

hmm i need a mesa too, since i've taken every gang territory i can start doing other things like I/E boards, ive done the first 2 and of the last board i need the euros, mesa and prolly something else

well between this thread and the car one the mesa and euros positions have been posted about 50 times, so knock your self out. as for the other cars let us know if you need help

I'm certain it loads cars based on a few things. First of all the cars are divided up into categories based on type of car e.g. family, sports, poor-family etc. etc. So when you're driving an infernus, for example, it will start spawning more infernuses, but it will also start spawning more cars in the sports category. Of course the increase in the category isn't as obvious as the increase in that particular car, but it is a rather obvious increase.

Hmm, it's a very subtle spawning at that. I've tried to prove the people that think that right, and to no avail. It just doesn't happen on my Save Game, so I assumed it was universal.

Maybe yours is different then Jimmy, but I have to agree with the other two on that one. Sports cars definitely seem to spawn when you're in one, although I tend to think they are segregated even more than that. For example, when you're driving a Bullet there never seem to be Cheetahs around.

Try outside the casino - if you get in a car, take a look at what cars/bikes spawn outside the casino. Then try a different on and note which spawn for that. You should find that it will be the same car/bike each time you get in the same car (I can't remember which one now, but one of the mundane saloon cars spawns Bullets :D)

yeah jimmy your outnumbered now.

thats right danpollard, if you in the same section in different cars, different cars spawn simple

There is a pattern, though i cant give you very accurate information on how to get the vehicles you want, but certain areas are more likely to give you the vehicle of your choice, along with the time of day, and the taking into consideration the vehicle you are currently in.

For example, the turismo, difficult to find, sometimes, right?
Struggling?
go outside the golden dragon casino, where wu zi mu gives you heist missions.
The cars appear regularly around the evening time, even more so if you drive an infernus, or a cheetah, or a buffalo.
cant find one of those cars?
I have had problems, heres EXACTLY what i did. Think of it as a mission i set myself:

I wanted a cheetah and a turismo to tune up and save in a garage, cos if you dont tune them up before saving, they get eaten by the phantom garage eater, and disappear, so i decided to get both and tune them.
Starting in san fierro, i went to the country club for a comet (porsche) which didnt spawn.
I found a buffalo though, sort of sporty, so i drove that round the block, and hey presto! there's my comet in the parking lot.
After taking that to las venturas and then north to the area where millie lives (Prickle Pine), i drove straight past a whole load of cheetahs (which spawn when you drive a comet in a rich area) (Richman is a good place for elegy's and such like, early in the game) i then took the cheetah to the transfender near the golden dragon casino, got it tuned, then took it to my garage in prickle pine. Obviously cos i was driving a cheetah the whole road was full of them, so i stole another one, just before i parked my tuned one up safe, then i drove back to the golden dragon, parked the cheetah outside the casino on the sandy area, and positioned the camera to look down the side road that leads round the back of the casino, so that the game would start spawning traffic from ONE ROAD ONLY, and within 30 seconds, my first turismo appeared. Which i tuned, then parked, and now i have both the cars i wanted.
simple.

vexd -- Buffalo is in the Muscle Car section.

Point proven. I'm outnumbered. It seems to be my game, though. 👍

I wouldn't worry - in fact I would rather have a game like yours - seems more realistic! It kinda sucks when one car spawns another really - may be handy for the I/E garages but after that I'd rather just have random car spawning.

Btw - thanks for the Cheetah tip vexd - I can never seem to find them but loads of Comets outside the casino...

Oh yeah - incidentally Ive got a Turismo happily saved in LV untuned and the garage doesn't appear to be snacking away on it - maybe it depends on which garage you save in (the one just north of the runway so you know). Have to admit I've not had a problem with hungry garage syndrome yet so again, maybe it's just the differences between the versions of the game...

no i dont think its to do with the version of the game, i think its to do with the fact that i keep so many cars for a very long time.
all the cars i have i want to keep, i dont drive them very often, and i always make sure they are home safe and sound before i save.
i spend a lot of time making the cars i want to keep, and getting the colours right.
did u know you can put a fire design or whatever onto a car, then choose a normal colour, and affect the design colour you already chose?
you should see my slamvan. you have to catch the sunlight in the mornings to see the details!
anyway, i have had every garage filled to the brim with cars i tuned/wanted to keep, and when i have come back to them some 20 missions later, theyve gone.
even tuned ones.
but more commonly, the garage eater eats the cars that you havent tuned, because the game doesnt have to remember the subtle differences youve made i spose.
thats just what ive found.
also, if the cars spawn nearby, then they leave your garage, as in the case of my beloved all red bullet which i kept in doherty until i got all silver on the bloody licenses and it went bye byes...

Has anybody taken a modded car to the export/import? I just went to get that Slamvan and decided to fully modify it for my drive back to San Fierro. I spent about $15,000 modding it. I took it up the ramp and got out... it gave me $110,000 for it! I would have had more if it was in perfect shape. So, if you are short on money I suggest modifying it fully and then taking it to the docks... you will make a pretty penny off of it. :)

Nice tip.

also for example if your slamvan is equipped with hydraulics or possibly any low rider, each time you buy it, it comes stock with hydraulics. i dunno if its different to other peoples games, but whenever i buy a lowrider car and its a car i've delivered with hydraulics, it comes with it when i buy it

I would assume so. Maybe it's just like they are on the street, and they just randomnly come with or without Hydraulics.

Also, very nice top gt3master2003.

I found that if u save your game at the dragons casino and the load it a random super car drives past ( most of the time!)
I've noticed that, too, but not straight away. Load up, then run out onto the middle of the road into traffic, and you should first have Taxis spawn (as they seem to be the default spawn-car on San Andreas). In the next few other cars that spawn, one of them always seems to be a High-Performance Car.
