Apparently it is due out in January which seems very soon.

In all seriousness, I'm looking forward to this a lot. Supposedly the Mac version will be written in Cocoa (so it won't seem like it's a direct port from the Windows version of Firefox), and that it'll use Mac utilities like Keychain, the Os wide dictionary, etc.
 
I will avoid this entirely, as it certainly will be a "minefield"... The very first Alpha 2.0 Firefox I installed won't even let me uninstall it! It's still on here to this very day.

Cowards. I've installed and am using Minefield right now. Hasn't crashed once in the 3 minutes I've been using it.
 
As far as I can tell it's exactly the same as 2.0 except all my extensions/plug-ins don't work. I used it all night last night and it didn't crash once.
 
Hmm, I'm going nowhere near this thing for the same reason as I've only just got 2.0 :P :lol: I don't like being eaten alive by as many bugs as there could be in this! But I am really looking forward to its completion and release, Firefox is by far and away the easiest and fastest browser around :)

EDIT - *installs and fires up v2.0*
Neat, I like it. I'll get used to the new, chrome-style buttons soon enough. :cool: Nice and fast.

i think i'll just wait for the final version when it comes out....i don't really trust these stuff.....:lol:

I guess January 2007 isn't the targeted release date after all. In fact, we have to wait for quite some time:

It's interesting to see support for opening files with web services (e.g. Writely). Also, it looks like FF3 might have something similar to Safari's pr0n-browsing mode. Yes!!!
 
man, i'm hoping the the Firefox crew can release this thing sometime in summer, experience the Firefox this again....i remember when i first got Firefox. 1.5 in summer 06 :lol:

Basically:

* Pages aren't saved into the history
* Items are automatically removed from the downloads window
* Any information you type in (e.g. searches) are not stored

It's useful if you're shopping online for someone, using a public computer, or in my case, looking at prawn.
