Firefox and IE crash/close each time I try to view a video with windows media player

REALLY annoying...so I'll try to watch a news story and it using windows media player on the webpage to play the video...BOTH IE and firefox crash/close, and of course XP is nice enough to ask me to send an error report...which seemingly does nothing for me.

Need help here...+rep for anyone who can help me somehow

I just search on the net for a similar problem and found this:

Well, I fixed it... turns out I didn't install the sound drivers for my motherboard when I reformated, and that fixed it.

even if you installed them, you can still reinstall them or download and install updated drivers from the internet.

Hope that helps ;)
