I've got an od problem I can't work out, for some reason I switched my PC on today and FireFox wouldn't load any web pages, IE works my internet connection is fine Zone Alarm isn't set to block FireFox, it's just not loading any web pages. Every page I try cannot be found. Has anyone else got any ideas why this is happening? It worked fine yesterday.

I took a look at Firefox's Wiki help pages, and there seems to be quite a lot of reasons why it might not work. Rather than post them all here, here's a link.

The most common causes seem to be solved by rebooting, though, so that should probably be the first port of call. Good luck!

Thanks for the site, sadly I've tried rebooting a couple of times to no avail, I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it, still to no avail. I'll have a good look on that wiki though 👍.

Tried several suggestions but it still isn't working, I think I'll have to settle for another browser. It's just weird the way it just stopped working, nothing has been installed or anything.

I don't have system restor on, it's a back door into your computer that a lot of spyware and viruses can exploit. Or so I've been told.

I might just backup all my essentials and do a reformat after work on Monday or whenever. My PC could probaby use it by now anyway.

I was infected with a bit of spyware last week that cause the same problem for me. A quick run of Spybot sorted it out.

I've tried AdAware and Spybot search and destroy, no luck. I'll try an older version of Firefox though.

EDIT: Tried the older version of FF and still no luck.

Have a browse at your Firefox folder and see if there is anything 'new' there, that would coincide with the problem arising.
