Firefox taking fire

Pretty much what they are saying is that Firefox had bugs in it and the update killed the bugs.

Werd I just got 1.0.7 too. But if you're wanting to try an alternative to FF, Opera is now ad-free at no cost. Uses less physical memory, and runs quite abit faster than IE/FF, but I'm sticking with my FF.

Very nice, that they say in the changelog:

"Other stability and security fixes"

Not very open.

Anyway, I've followed the discussion about the three main browsers, also on some other forums, and must say that Opera is the fastest and best browser out there imho. IE is the only other browser I really need, because Opera can't deal with my company intranet, nor with Outlook Web Access.

But other than that, Opera is pretty good (though some adds move a bit strange on the page sometimes)

It does'nt containdicate adblock itself , nice & frsh smelling , they only ad i get with opera is the university of liverpool for some reason . But in my opinions firefox is not as much of a resource hog as oppie .

can i ask you guys, but dose Firefox take ages to initialize on the first start up of it.

mine takes around 40secs to start, but once opend to open a new browser window (say if i closed it down) it will load very quickly.

for me Noscript disables the tribalfusion banners at the top of the page, and anyother javascript that is linked from any other website. same goes for the adverts at the side when using imageshack.

Mine takes fractions of that. At school, it takes a while longer, maybe 10-20 seconds.

it seems to get in the way of advanced posting for a JSreferral to the smilies pop-up , can't seem to reinstate , it cpould be another extension and nuthin doubleclick . no , the pop-up is a direct click it's on onclick event & not a party script , it could be the pop-up blocker & not no-script . U jes have to be careful what ure hammering

I've been using Firefox for more than a year now, and that makes me think that it was a good choice.
Plus the fact that I'm trying to get rid step by step of everything that comes from Microsoft on my PCs.
