I don't know if they are on any other tracks, but if you go to GT Life - Practice - City - Special Stage Route 7 Night - Aspec Free Run, there is a really cool fireworks display going off as you drive down the road.
Also, this track may be the best place in the game (that I've found) for testing the top speed of your car. The track is almost 15 miles long and is basically just a big straight line. Aside from the turn arounds at each end, there are only a couple slight bends in the road, but not enough to impede your top speed testing.
I took my '92 Nissan R92CP Race Car (1058hp, 900kg) up to 245 mph/395 kph on this track with no problem.
I know there's a trophy for going 400 kph, but I have found a car to do it yet. Maybe the Veyron can?

Yep, best track to test out your maximum speed. Tested out my Peugeot 908 on that track and maxed out its speed up to 385km/h. Regarding about the fireworks in that track, there is also one in circuit de la sarthe at night. :)

Yes the Veyron can do 400+, it can in real life too. I hit 462 in the tunnel with a draft. Also, the fireworks and SSR7 were seen almost 2 weeks before launch.

Curious, on the SSR7, how long is the straight? I don't do my top speed testing here. Forget the name of the one, but it goes on for about 3.5 miles without a need to slowdown at all. Is the SSR7 better than this, on its best variation?

it is long, the track is 14km i think

the stright is not fully stright, but has minor bends in it

Circuit De La Sarthe (no chicane) perhaps? I was able to break 400kph with the Minolta Toyota 88C-V there. I can't wait to give SSR7 a go.

I have seen this in trailers somewhere but did not know it made it into actual gameplay! I remember when BLUR did this on their coastal track it was amazing so I can't wait to see the display in GT5. :)

is it just me or in photo mode at night at these stages, the fireworks dont come out :(

Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. I had one replay were they didn't show up, but the next replay did, it's weird.

SS7 is 23280 meters long. The longest continual straight is 4250 meters, but the corners are so shallow that in actuality you'll probably get to go over 10 kilometers without lifting off the gas.

For comparison, the Sarthe straight without the chicanes is 5700 meters.

Fireworks always works for me in replays and photomode, strange how it doesn't for some (not the first time I heard that). And yes SSR7 is easily the best place for top speed runs.

I prefer La Sarthe for testing top speed since the longest straight on SSR7 is the tunnel and it has elevation changes which are obviously going to affect speed readouts.

But circuit le sarthe has an uneven surface which also affects speed readouts.

Regardless SSR7 return tunnel straight is the the best place for top speed in the game.
