MA70 Supra 3.0 turbo . Bought it for something like 7k credits , 230 bhp . At the beginning it seemed to me impossible to handle it but as soon as I got the International A license it was a piece of cake to handle it

The step from GT1 to GT2 is huge. About the first car, I always tend to start with a Supra. Its sort of hard to control but with some suspension upgrades its ok. Then I usually move over to Skylines. Sort of boring and obvious choices though.I picked up a used PS2 for $40 last week due to missing some of my old PS1/2 games I've collected over the decades & refused to get rid of. Decided to play my original copy of GT from 1998 last night & I still haven't decided what first car to purchase. It really does amaze me how much this game has evolved compared to the rest of the series.
I never won any races on GT 2 until I got the Jaguar XJ220 and smoked the completion. My first GT2 car (Started on GT2 and loved it so much I went back and got GT1 too) was the Toyota Supra Twin Turbo 91'. Best starter car I've ever purchased
I want to say Honda Prelude but I also remember giving it a racing conversion. Does that mean it was in GT2?
I usualy sart with the licenses and a MA70 Supra. Bu if I get the licenses right, I just go with the TRD3000GT or the Nismo 400R.
This, especially on GT5 B-1: the start/stop test is ridiculous (33ms away from gold first time and then couldn't get further before I gave up), ugh.I personally struggle with B1 xD, in GT2 too. the simple start and stop tests I struggle with always.
I got Bronze, Silver, Bronze, Silver, Bronze, Silver, Silver, Gold on the B license. I don't know how I managed to gold B-8.Imo B is the hardest license to gold. I personally can't get it right quickly. A is doable but is pretty hard when you need to drive a Supra or the Skyline on Trial Mountain. IA is actually not that hard at all. I usually gold those first try. The key isn't to try to be he fastest you can, just to be consistent. Just try to not make mistakes and you'll get those pretty quickly imo.
