Well, I though it deserved a new thread, so people will notice.

There are 3 new movies you can download.
GT-TV special - Lancer Evolution X -- HD 10min. 56sec. 579MB
GT_TV special The GT_R Legend INSIDE STORY I -- HD 11min. 6 sec. 591MB
GT_TV special The GT_R Legend INSIDE STORY II -- HD 13min. 58sec. 756MB
no sign of a Top Gear episode though.

It's in english with subtitles in your game's language.
the interview with Yamauchi is in Japanese though (not dubbed in english)

I'm sorry for the noob question, but where can I find/download them ? I'm looking at GT-TV but I only see the opening & ending movie.
 
Those are realy old, i got 5 new vids a few days ago. Two are one top gear episode and the others are superGT, option Video and D1GP.

for me they apear GT-TV, didn't need to download or anything..

It depends... Some get it early, others do not...

I saw 'em just as they came up... A good 30 minutes watch 👍

Edit: I think the disc version doesn't need to download since it's already there, PD just unlocked it... I think...

Edit 2: And it seems that when you play online you start on the place you came in on the loading screen... Makes it a bit less frustrating, so the host doesn't quit because he (or she) starts last on the grid.
 
Could be, but you need to be logged in, otherwise you can't view them.
But it's true, it doesn't download anything (or else really really fast...)
I checked the lights on my network switch, but only registered activity a couple of times, just enough to stay logged in in the PS network.
 
Did someone have a blueRay player on his PC so he could put the GT5P BD in his BD player and tell us if there's other vids on that disc ?
 
It took my Prologue a moment to realise there are new movies in GT-TV. I guess it just takes a minute to bring the game up to speed over the network.
 
Well, this explains the lack of the "Beyond the Apex" movie that was supposed to come with the PAL version...
 
This goes to show that the videos are hidden which most likely means the Beyond the apex video is there but hidden. I had to go to GT TV 3 times before all videos showed up for me. But now I have all 3 new videos. I hope the beyond the apex video is there and not hidden.

PS> The videos dont need to be downloaded if you have the BD version.
 
Given the file sizes of most the videos, I doubt I'll ever download one. Unless you can d/l in the background of course.
 
The videos were a welcome addition. Well made and well narrated. I don't mind the subtitles for the Japanese. Only frustration is trying to read the technical notes and keep up with conversation. It can be puased but if you miss a part, you can't rewind.
 
I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but if you read the video stats at the bottom it details the video's length, size, and then it says "free".

This kind of ruined my hope that all content delivered over GT-TV will be free. On the flipside, I didn't expect to see the same high quality standards of documentation and exclusive insider looks to be completely free.
 
They were cool! Really nice thing to look forward to, now we get to drive the cars and see how they have been developed. Can't wait to see more :D
