First time Airsoft

I'm looking into playing Airsoft sports.......seems really fun.

My first gun I want is a Gas blowback Desert Eagle by Tokio Marui. It has the hard kick feature and is heavier than most sirsoft guns, but it's been my favorite pistol for forever and a day.

Anybody airsoft around here? Need some advice on how to start, what to buy, stuff like that. Anything would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Hey Im just starting out in airsoft also. Well not going out on the field, cause in my opinion airsoft hurts more then paintball(unless the person shooting is using heavy bbs) so I sticking to paintball. My dad bought me the Daisy Outdoor Powerline Airstrike 240(check Big 5) for x-mas, so Ive just been shooting my target. Um. I a coulpe of months ago really wanted that blowback deagle the you want, but its to expensive and we''re just begginers. But whatever. All I can tell you is if you buy a spring pistol, hold the trigger with your middle finger, becuase if youre trying to shoot fast, and your inex finger is on the trigger, your wrist will start to hurt because of the force being put on it from cocking the gun. I dont know if this works only for me, but if you buy a spring, give it a try.

If kyou want to paintball with an airsoft gun, you must have one of the open breech designs. Otherwise you risk breaking a paintball in the gun, and voiding your warranty.
As the DE costs $200, you'd be pretty torqued if your ruined it with a paintball and found that it wasn't covered by the warranty.
There is a Beretta/Taurus M9/PT-92 variant that is open breech and will handle paintballs.
It is a spring design and must be cocked for each shot. However, it only costs $24.99
