Hello guys im having a hard time to choose my first wheel, i want to know if i should choose the DFGT or the Thrustmaster RGT Pro Clutch Edition..

DFGT. The Thrustmaster isn't even officially supported by GT5, so if it does work it probably won't work very well.

If you can find the DFGT on sale, get it. But if you pay full retail, then I would suggest the fanatec carrera wheel. Comes with clutch and h gated shifter.

Agree with Kasey. I bought a DFGT and it's great but as soon as I got used to it I wished I'd gone for a fanatec straight away and I've since ordered a GT2. Check out the reviews and videos of the Carrera on YouTube, great package.

DFGT is a better starter wheel. Plug it in and go. The Fanatecs are better suited to people who have been around wheels for awhile, with a slightly more advanced set up and tons of options, plus no official support... and you're gonna drop almost $200US on it with tax and shipping. DFGT can be had for $100US all day long now that the GT5 mania is starting to die off. That said, for a couple hundred bucks the Fanatec is a LOT of wheel.

If you only have a PS3, the DFGT is a great wheel for the price. The Fanatec GT2 wheels are good if you need a wheel that works on both the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Fully agree.

I would definitely go with the DFGT. It's a great starter wheel and can be head for as little as 99 bucks. If you like using a wheel and get into it more, then maybe sell the DFGT and go with a Fanatec wheel. For a while I was thinking about upgrading to a Carrera wheel but after reading how clutch support in GT5 is not all that great have decided to stick with my DFGT.

I bought a DGT in early November, just before GT 5 was released. I used it for about three weeks and generally liked it. I came across the Fanatec Porsche 911 GT2 wheel, however, and I realized that it was what I really wanted. Although the DGT is a good wheel, the GT2 is a whole different ballgame. The force feedback is much smoother and stronger, the wheel works on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC (DGT only works on PS3 and PC, but not Xbox 360) and the alcantra leather on the GT2 feels much more authentic than the plastic DGT wheel.

My view today is that if you play racing games on your Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, then the only real option is the GT2.

All of that being said, you made a good choice. The DGT is a good wheel. You just might find yourself yearning for more at some point. I did.
