Ah man... Just did 2 races at Kyoto on 2nd account and even though both had a decent ending, feel like it could have gone much, much better - especially Race 1....

Race 1 - Start in P10 surrounded by Citroens and Huracans so it took me half a lap to catch up to the ones in front. They also fought hard and as I was going to punch through a couple, the obvious and standard bumps, shoves and hits take place so I don't go past and in fact, end up in P13.... However, I was still in the race so by the start of lap 5, I was in P7/ P8 but this time, at the start of Sector 3, I had the opportunity to snatch 2 places for a P5 but I was overexcited heading into the chicane and had to save the car instead! Did manage to take one last position for a P7 finish but I could have got a P5 or better for sure...

Race 2 - I start in P9 and again, had to wait a bit to catch up to those ahead but this time, with no issues, I overtook one car and even pulled a 2s gap on him. I caught up to the much slower P7 ahead but instead of allowing me by and working together (it was crystal clear he might as well let me by as I was much faster) he spent the next 2 laps blocking me in any way possible and slowing the both of us down... So much so that I lost the 2s gap behind me. Dude was fast (he started from the back with no QT time and flew past the others behind) so I let him by and planned to try and get past both once he inevitably gets screwed by Captain Slow... Almost pulled it off in the end but at least I did finally overtake on the last corner of the race so I finished in P8, 1 position ahead of my start..

Race 1 replay was much more eventful so here it is... Also could not resist leaving a comment for Mr Slow at the end 🤣 😂

Personally, and I watched the whole race.... I don't think they did anything bad?

You did well not to react to a couple of early hits on lap 1. There was one early on when I thought I would react if it was me 😂 (forget to brake and aim for the person, I do that when I see red).

But the silver/turquoise guy towards the end, he was miles behind the car in front on the last lap so had to defend his position against you and he did it without crashing into anyone.

Good driving I think. Slow maybe but he did what he needed but I could be very wrong?

Hey! I'm fine with the end of Race 1 in terms of other drivers - I was the one to make a mistake. I complained (what I think you're referring to) about the end of Race 2, which is not this replay 🙂 Thanks for the nice words though, took a lot not to react at the start 🤣 Sick qualy time btw 🔥

Managed to improve my time by a whopping 8tenths, following the 99th placed and only g70 on the grid (global leaderboard)

I see @Gurzu came to the party, some mad times out there 😁

I've been playing Race every day anywhere between 5 - 10 times & every time it's fun irrespective of where I finish either towards the front or back.

Because of the high placed indented kerbs & also because of cold tyres (at the start of the race & out lap after the mandatory pit stop), some times contacts happen which are not intentional. If I accidentally touch or can't stop my car in time enough to touch someone, most of the times that user takes it personally & will immediately try to hit me back.

I got punted twice by an user yesterday but I didn't try to take him out because in doing so, I don't want to hurt my SR.

I've also had close battle with as much as 3 more cars on the closing laps but giving respect will earn respect in return. Nonetheless, it's such a fun event to take part in daily just like how last week's race was at Le Mans.

P.S. - Race A is like a death trap where you need to only look in your mirrors more than ahead. So many users take Race A as destruction derby kind of chaos. They should just make their own lobbies and fight it out there.

Honestly, leave more room and brake earlier. You know the tires are colder and that it affects performance. It’s not all your fault but if you know things are gonna get complex maybe consider that in to your driving? We only get better when we do these things not talk about them.
