It's funny. I'm also afraid of heights, to the point where a 15-foot ladder takes some real thought. But it's got nothing to do with altitude for me; the environment of an airplane cockpit around me makes all the difference in the world. I've been a passenger in 2-seat gliders where you're in a bubble surrounded by nothing but wind and sky. I've been in the back seat of a T-28 at 10,000 feet when the pilot told me "this is what we used to do in Nam", then proceeded to lay it on its back and dive straight down for 9,950 of those feet, pulling out right above our house. Nothing but fun as far as I'm concerned, but climbing a ladder onto the roof of a 2-story building takes an effort of will for me.2) I have a major fear of heights (flying specifically)...
3) I’m an engineer specializing in orbital physics
It's also odd that you're an orbital engineer with no hope of ever going to space, or enjoying it if you had to.
Minor peeve time: technically you're talking about the 'score', but absolutely everyone uses the term 'soundtrack'. The 'soundtrack' would include dialogue, sound fx, and music.4) I’m a big fan of movie soundtracks. They represent some of the best music currently being made worldwide.
The good thing about modern porn is that garter belts, fishnets, lacy frou-frou, and other stupid lingerie has gone out of fashion. The bad thing is that 'nature's lingerie' has also gone out of fashion.1) Unlike Duke, I’m a big fan of modern porn. I can’t watch the old stuff… too hairy. Not that hairless is my thing either, I just think it should be done tastefully.
I’m not scared of having a girlfriend – I just happen to be waiting for Ms. Perfect...o I’m very prudent, and I’m not going to enter into a relationship unless I’m positive there’s some long-term stability in it.
You'll know it when you find it, even if she's not Ms. Perfect. I still think my wife is perfect for me even though we fight like dingos at least once a month. There is plenty I would change about her - but every day, I'm grateful she's mine, even after spending more than half my life with her.
Excellent thread, buddy!
