Roo
And to think my seconday school had a 1:0 guy to girl ratio.

All boys school. I would say it sucked, but you'd all get the wrong idea.
I think you're kinda SOL either way, Roo.

And yes a large portion of my friends are girls and not the kind i can ever have a relationship with becuse i am too close to them

I've never heard of being too close for a relationship. You seem to think that when you're in a relationship, you need to keep at arms length.

My college class had a 13:1 guy to girl ration, there was 13 guys and 1 girl called Suzannah who I bercame friends with, me her and a couple of the lads banded together, we had some great laughs.

The only illegal drug I've ever had is skunk, and that was years ago.

I'm a big social drinker, when I'm not driving. I hardly touch alcahol if I'm driving but if I'm not I can drink a lot on a night out. I don't tend to get drunk very often, which is never my aim.

The last time I got hammered was a few years ago when I split up with my at that time girlfriend, Sarah. Who I'm friendly with when I see here these days, but I feel a bit awkward when I'm around her. When we ended I wasn't a happy a bunny afterwards.

I'm addicted to special edition DVD's, I can't stop buying them. I don't even have to like the film, if it's in a nice case with "special edition" printed in nice shiny writing I'm tempted to buy it. Charlotte hates me going into stores like HMV, Silverscreen and Virgin.

I've been contemplating moving house, where I live now it's a really nice area, but I'm tempted to cash in on the house and move somewhere cheaper. It's something I've mentioned to the missues and were not decided on anything yet, but it's something I'm looking very much into. I've looked at a lot of areas in Yorkshire and Derbyshire, there would be little point trying to find a cheap area in Manchester that's still nice enough for me to want to settle in. Didsbury is regarded as the best area in Greater Manchester, but that's reflected in the prices. We can afford to stay, and moving is probably nothing more than talk at moment, but if we found a nice house, in a nice area for the right price and not too far away, we'd give it careful consideration.

I've been to loads of works nights out, and as I work in a library, most of the workers are female. One particular christmas night out was me, and 15 women. I couldn't sit down for days afterwards. They had arranged a sort of relay system of dancing, and I was practically up all night.

Most other nights were just me and 2 blokes, and loads of women. The 3 of us just usually ended up drinking and chatting (or going to the sports room for a game of pool!) whilst the women danced with each other. Great times!

^^ You were off to a good start... and then you went a blew it VV

I thought exactly the same thing! “Wait, what was he do— oh, darn, that’s not as fun!”

More....Kinda depressing though.....

11. I am a complete and utter rock. I show no emotions during a panicky situation. Kinda like 5 minutes ago when my baby sister had a siezure...for the second time. I'm really freaked out, don't know whats gonna happen to here at the hospital. The last Isaw, she was consious and crying....:(

1) I can't see **** at night. This very evening I was driving on a very dark road with my brother in the passenger's seat, arguing about my usage of the bright-over-bright headlights. I also constantly think oncoming traffic are using their large lights, I think my eyes are contrasting light and dark too strong.

2) I drive a racing line through traffic.

3) I'm not obsessed with typography, but I'm close. Example: I get mad at comic sans. I think Sage does this too.

4)

5) I've got a cool apartment. (Yes, indeed, anonymous editor, now even with a private beer-tap!)

Comic Sans scares the crap out of me.

DAMN, this thread grew fast. Good topic Sage. But I'm not gonna +rep you cause you don't need it.

Welll... that's all...

1. Im an Asian and am a Sikh

2. Ive never visited my homeland of India:indiff:

3. Whenever I have to park my car at car parks I always go somewhere near the end where its empty because I get worried someone might scratch my baby squeezing into a space or when they open their door.

4. I get paranoid when Im the last one to leave the house. I frantically run around making sure the windows are closed, doors are locked etc... Sometimes after getting to the end of the road I go back just to check I locked the front door properly  I like a clean conscience

5. Im a strong bike rider and love cycling. I participated in a charity bike ride this summer where I rode 120 miles in one and a half days which Im really proud of.

6. One of my reachable dreams is to buy a Japaneses sports car in the near future and take it to the Nurb.

Guilty. I also have OCD with padlocks, I have to check them several times before I'm convinced they're locked.

I check every part of Evan's house before leaving it too.

I have the opposite of that. Just recently I had accidentaly left my car unlocked, with spare keys in the center console (yes bad move) for a night and a day. Although it was parked behind locked gates (community parking, gates are often open for hours at a time) I felt pretty stupid...

...actually, who am I kidding. My reaction after checking my own superstupidity for the spare keys in the console, and upon confirmation of the superstupidity was this: HEY! MENTOS!

I also leave the windows to my apartment open when I leave, and used to walk around with addresses tagged to the keys of several properties. Including said community parking, parental house + garage and my apartment.

Though this may be sufficient evidence to label me as an idiot, the real idiot here is my insurance company. "We would like to adopt you in our anti theft insurance program, Mr. Sn00pie." Yeah bad move.

Guilty. I also have OCD with padlocks, I have to check them several times before I'm convinced they're locked.

Ditto. I always check windows and doors like a crazy man. Also with my car, I check both doors are locked before I walk away, and then sometimes after a few meters I walk back to make sure that I actually checked… *sigh*

Hmm, I thought this was a well-known fact about me, but I suppose some of the newer members don’t know: I live in the boondocks. The nearest grocery store is about 10 miles from my house, and I have two neighbors: the folks across the street, down the canyon, and the folks who are across the street and on the other mountain. We’re surrounded on three sides by Angeles National Forest land (the fourth side is the road), so nobody can build around us. Why there’s a parcel in the middle of the forest, we don’t know. Anywho, here are some pictures:

Picture I took from down below. Yes, the cliff has been inspected by geologists.

Sagebrush. Yes, that’s where my name comes from (another unknown fact for some of you?).

The water tank. We don’t get any water here, so we have to drill for it ourselves. Behind where I was standing (in other words, not in the picture) is a shack with a small generator in it to power the water pump.

And we don’t get electricity either. So, on the far left is a fixed solar array, to its right is a variable-position solar array, behind that is the propane tank (we have a gas stove, two small gas refrigerators, and a gas water heater, and of course the generators run off of gas), and the rectangular building to the right, next to the house, is a shed that holds the main generator, which can pump water and generate electricity when the solar panels aren’t enough.

And this, uh, lifestyle is why I can get pictures like this:

And this:

(Well, obviously I didn’t take that picture.)

What a treat. 👍 I know I've seen the last pic of you, somewhere. Having lived in the busy metropolitan or suburb neighborhood all of my life, that kind of lifestyle is really cool to me, almost romantic. I had never even heard of a gas powered fridge, before. :D

Sage from sagebrush? I always thought it came from sage as in "smart one." Kind of like, "...oh great sage; seer from the Middle East."

1. I'm a mathtard. There, I said it. I'm a mathtard. Through high school, Math was never my strong suit. Despite a couple very good teachers, it never 'clicked' with me. Well, that and the fact that I had half a dozen teachers through one year of it. I was slightly better at applied mathematics (Such as physics), but in the final year a teachers' strike dealt the final blow and I dropped my physics course. Being bad at math has bothered me over the past year due to the restrictions that it puts on my further schooling and career options.

2. Most of the time, and dependant on the company, it is very hard to get me irate or pissed off. Around friends and (most) coworkers, I am a very calm person. However, certain members of my family (Primarily my brother) can send me over the edge with one word or action. With him I have absolutely no temper, and it somehow keeps getting shorter the more I have to be around him.

3. I will add the generic "Never had a girlfriend" comment. I've come very close to asking a girl out last year, but was beaten to her by another good friend. I backed off out of respect for him, but they've since broken up. She, unfortunately, is on a work experience/exchange trip to Japan and has been since September.
It's odd. While sometimes I am perfectly content as I am, I can also find myself desiring a companion. Eventually I'll figure out where to start...

4. I've been drunk thrice (The previous two times being on a camping trip after Grad in June, and recently at new years). Never done drugs, either. I will, however, indulge in the occasional cigar.

5. I'm Eighteen years old, graduated High School, and am working full time. I've got almost no clue what I'm going to do for a career or further education, even though I've got a RESP in my name to go towards school. I've been saying for the past year that I'm going to start working towards a commercial pilots' license, but only to satisfy the question of "Have you decided on a career". I'm unsure of what I'm going to do and sometimes it scares the hell out of me.

it's not odd. I am content and find myself desiring a companion. Usually between 10pm and 2am ;)

Which road do you live by, Sage?

My friends and I regularly go to the Angeles mountains to go hiking, and we see several random houses in the middle of nowhere.

Well, I’d rather not post my street address publicly ;), but I can PM you.

Ditto. I always check windows and doors like a crazy man. Also with my car, I check both doors are locked before I walk away, and then sometimes after a few meters I walk back to make sure that I actually checked… *sigh*
I once locked my front door, then 5 yards later turned to check it again. As I walked away for the second time I was getting the weirdest look ever off a van driver who probably thought I was a opportunist burglar.

  • 1. I actually DO play hockey (field, not ice). I generally play wherever, because I'm currently the captain of my side, but prefer left-back or striker. I've scored 7 this season, I think. And I have played in goal. Twice.

Correction - 8.

4. I get paranoid when Im the last one to leave the house. I frantically run around making sure the windows are closed, doors are locked etc... Sometimes after getting to the end of the road I go back just to check I locked the front door properly  I like a clean conscience

Guilty :guilty:

Sage, that's a great place you live in 👍
