If there is any lag the way the game corrects car positioning is currently.
(1) Rotate the car immediately towards the updated location.
(2) Drag the car rapidly across the track to the updated location.
How bad this looks is beyond description. A mess of screeching tires, zig-zagging cars and smoke everywhere. It makes GT6 looks about as realistic as a 1981 edition of Pole Position.
No amount of arguing for needing to show the car in the correct location can justify this. I could care less if the other drivers are to my left or right, or ten feet in front or behind me but dealing with cars zig-zagging all over the road and throwing up so much tire smoke that I can't see where I'm going is just ridiculous and should never happen.
If you need to make corrections, make them smooth and gradual. Make me feel like I'm racing against quick, smooth, skilled drivers (which is usually the case in the WRS), not a bunch of kids having a drift-fest across the track.
