I have this flickering thing going on wit my Samsung LCD tv. The tv is almost exactly one year old, and I now notice like these horizontal lines go across the screen, like lighting (except from left to right). Is it just refreshing (during gameplay), or is it just a bad connection between the tv, ps3 and HDMI cable? I am seriously considering taking it back to Best Buy but cannot find the receipt. Heard they can look you up in the computer, though. Also, I see the lines during tv, too, not just gaming. Ugh, it's like a constant refreshing when I play GT5 Prologue!

Is it only on one input or does it happen all the time?* If you have extra cables, give them a try. Also, search for the model number and see if others have had the same issue(s).

* Edit: just re-read and saw you said it happens during both TV and gaming.

Well, for the tv portion, it could be because I don't have hd channels, so it has to upscale to my tvs 720p resolution. But I didn't try the second hdmi port, perhaps that will cure things....

Yea, same cable. I've heard Best Buy has an excellent warranty program, though, so I will call them up to see if I can get a new tv set or at the very least a repair job.

EDIT: It seems better now in hdmi 2, but will it regress if I put it back into hdm 1? Also, what make the difference in the hdmi 1 and 2?

You might have a ground loop. See if other people with your TV have the same problem.

I switched outlets. I used to have the PS3 and HDTV hooked up into the same outlet, side by side, as well. I now have removed the PS3 plug and placed it into another outlet.
