Flickr connection not working properly

Hello Supportteam,

Since yesterday there seems to be an issue when adding pictures from flickr. When posted they only show an imagename with a red cross. If one edits the post you see the pictures being correctly loaded.

Noticed by @torque99 for the first time -> https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/mad-max.283906/page-8#post-11497927

The problem seems forum related because the red crosses show in multiple photo threads throughout the forum.

I assume there is somewhere a small technical issue?

regards,
doblocruiser

I was having the same problem in the DYSAGT (Showroom edition), Amatuer photography, and the Scale Model threads.

There was a problem yesterday with our server's connectivity to Flickr and many other image hosting sites. It has since been resolved, though you may have to re-post any images which were affected by the issue.

Hi Jordan,

Problem still seems to be there for pictures that already have been posted once. In my list there is one new picture and that works. The rest doesn't.

Regards,
doblocruiser

edit: test with already posted link but in other resolution 640x480

Seems to work correctly. So the issue only exists with pictures already posted in the 800x600 resolution.

That's because the images are still broken in the cache. They will remain broken until the cache expires, or you can re-post them with a different size.

You could also simply edit their URLs, adding a question mark to the end of each. This will trigger the cache to download the file again, like so (notice the question mark after the .jpg file extension):
