Folding Stand...PVC or Wood

Looking to building a wheel stand, and it would need to be folded and ideally put underneath the bed/couch.

Would just be the stand, no seat involved.

What would you guys would be more stable. PVC or Wood?

Most likely the wheel would either be a DFGT or G27.

Probably most of the base for the wood would be made out of 2x4's.

Something like that but w/o the raised section & seat area.

PVC, I guess would be 2". Same general form as wood but probably a little different.

Anyone that used both a wood & pvc stand comment on which one they thought was more stable.

Wood in the 2X fashion is stronger.

PVC is hollow and prone to cracking.

If it were my choice I would use aluminum.
Stronger than PVC, lighter than wood.

I would recommend buying one. But if you really want to make something youreself then i would probably try to make a replica of the wheelstand pro. The design is really simple so you could try that in PVC piping.

Ive had one of these with a DFGT for over a year. Its a very good combination.
