Wow, first of all let me introduce this software I discovered not a long time ago. Foobar 2000 is a mp3 player, or should I say an audio player because it can play whatever the audio format you use. It is basic, with advanced features for the true audio nutters, and most of all it is light as hell.

For a long time I used Winamp, it was the best I had in my opinion. But, as the updates came in, it became heavier and heavier, it was requiring alot of ressources at a point where I needed to stop my music to continue to work. When I discovered Foobar, I wasn't sure because of the basic look of it, but hey, I don't get an audio player in order to stare at it, I want it to play music. It turned out to be a dream, I still can't believe on how light it runs, and the fact that you can have multiple playlist open at a time (as each playlist has a tab) was godly. Winamp's media library was a pain in the ass, and I wanted something I could manage and find my music fast, Foobar with its tabbed playlists is really nice.

Does any of you use it ? What is your opinion about it ? What are your experiences you've been through compared to the other audio players ?

For the ones that wishes the see it. Here is mine:

I know a bunch of people here use it including myself. Such a wonderful player. No way I'll ever use Winamp again. I used Winamp5 for awhile after it was released but I didnt like how slow it ran at times.

I've been using it for a few years now, since the 0.8.3 release anyway. It offers so much more than others players I just can't switch away from it - most notably scriptable displays and sorting schemes.

And it can look really flash. ;)

What the Foobar? I'm sorry, I had to.... So whats the deal with this program is it free? I cant help but notice very large amounts of text....

I tried to do something flashy. I messed something up bad so I just reinstalled. Oh well. I guess I'll just try to stick with what I have right now.

I wish I could figure out how to get the toolbars(buttons & seekbar) at the very bottom. Still trying to figure it out.

Wow you guys are good, I can't code like that. In fact, I can't code anything

This was my old one on my other hard drive.

I'm going to code a new one. I never downloaded columns UI after I put in my new HD, but now you went and got me all inspired and stuff. Look out for one to kind of match my myspace and have an Apple-like Mac-white kind of feel.
