The other week in my Indoor Soccer Comp, one of our substitutes was given a Red Card for abusing the Sideline Referee. After he was given a straight red, he (the ref) told us we had to take off one of our on-field players. Which is rule I've never heard of before, so two questions.
1. Can a person who is not on-field, legally be given a red-card.
2. If yes, does an on-field player have to come off. And has this ever happened before?
Although I'm playing Indoor, I'm assuming the rules are the same as outdoor in this aspect.
