For what reason do people say GT5 is biased TOWARD the GTR?

If you ran your gtr in a lobby governed by bhp limits then you would find the gtr would wipe the floor with the competition (assuming you are a good driver)

Too much favoratism on Japanese cars in general I think.

What do you mean the tuning on the SpecV black mask is awesome? Isn't the Black Mask version just a GTR 07 with a black mask, but otherwise identical?

P.S To all those saying GTr has a very high amount of grip in GT5 for such a heavy car. It out corners and out Gs much much lighter cars. This is because the same is the case IN REAL LIFE.

It is also faster in a straight line than most cars with the same power to weight ratio in real life be cause it very very efficient at putting the power made at the crank to the wheels. Efficient drive train. gear changes etc.

Put that together and you get one very fast car compared to what people expect from the "spec sheet" alone.

I only have the black mask.

And another thing: I did the GTR time trial today, that thing understeers like an ocean liner.

Haha..I thought the opposite. For a car that heavy with 4WD, SS tires, on stock suspension, I thought it handled like a dream..

A lot of cars get given generic stats, at least with their weight distribution. Some cars get given bad weight distribution that is far worse than I would imagine the real car would have. I'm pretty sure a Nissan/Datsun 240Z has better than 60/40 weight distribution for example.

Some cars that get specific values for weight distribution might also get given special treatment to other performance values that players would not be aware of, like maybe a boost to grip for example.

I was in a lobby today where a guy with a WRX was claiming he could beat any GTR, so it may not have any special advantage over all other cars.

Some people are dumb. That's the reason.
GT5 is all fine. NISSAN is cool. GT-R's are awesome.

I was going to say something along this but already said...lol... But REALLY. Look where the game is from....Japan !! LoL If the game was made in the US for example everyone mostlikely would be complaining that there is only American cars and where are all the gtr's ..... LoL

Not going to start a vette war, but this cannot go without being said.
I saw an independent test of the zr1 and the gtr. Both cars were givin the same tires and had multiple runs with a few drivers. All divers drove both cars and all date was averaged. The zr1 killed the gtr on the skidpad. Going from memory I believe it was .8 g's to 1.5 g's. In acceleration I think the gtr won the 0-60. In braking the zr1 came behind... In a good way lol. Around the track it was said, mind you I'm paraphrasing here,

"The corvette zr1 is by far the most amazing car ever we have ever tested. It set mind blowing lap times and from what we have tested is the better of the two, but it took longer to get there. It is such an absolute monster to drive that our test divers had to practice quite longer than expected to put in laps they were happy with. When they practiced in the gtr they had trouble finding way to go faster and shave off those tenths of seconds because the car can practically drive itself. Long story short if you're rich, impatient, and want to race as fast as you can tomorow buy the gtr. If you want to tame a beast, have an adventure, and get results beyond your wildest imagination buy the vette."

Sorry for the book guys, but my point in this is what they said about the gtr being easy to drive at the limit is true; right along with the vette being an absolute monster to tame, but the vette was the better of the two...
My personal opinion is that most of the people that just whine about the gtr vs vette thing are just poor divers and/or lack the practice in the vette to make it a good match for the gtr so they got spanked and want to blame a game. I'm not accusing anyone of this, although, I will admit that I used to be one of them (now reformed lol).

I think there is a VERY subtle bias with the gtr. It's not much but it is there, and, in stock form, it is juuuust noticeable.

hmmmm started as just my $.02 but ended at my $9001 lmao. Again, sorry for the book of a response.

Err what? Advanced computer systems? You mean traction control, ABS and stability control? Most people turn those off in order to push a car harder as these things tend to slow you down. Which McLaren has poor handling? They all handle fine to me, the F1 is a better driver and is much faster than the MP4-C12. Both are still awesome, but hey they both look lovely :).

Understeering car, try not going into the corner too fast then braking when you notice you are not holding your line(any car would do that). GTR is AWD understeer is part of its character, but it's technical gizmo keep that from being prominent depending on the driving mode you select. Brake enough before the corner so you can maneuver your way through it, until you figure out the nuances of the car.

Gtr and the other cars I mentioned are well known for having great advantages in the way of electronics beyond just tcs and abs
