Ok I don't have GT4 but I have been thinking about getting it along with a PS2 and maybe a Wheel. I only have Xbox and Forza with the crappy Madcatz Wheel.

So my question is how is the force feedback for the wheel for GT4....do FF cars simulate torque steer like the wheel ripping to one side??? And is there wheel hop also on the cars.

The only GT4 time I have had has been @ a friends house just doing arcade races. The cars feel more real in GT4 then Forza but Foraza's tracks look more realistick to me atleast but I am now bored with Forza and would like to play GT4 and take a lot of photos of some cars :sly:

Thanks Mike

1. Get GT4
2. Post on the Forums
3. Have fun

I cannot speak for the DFPro but I have the original DF and absolutley love using it. As far as "ripping" torque steer, I wouldn't go as far to call it "ripping" but there is good resistance and you can deffinately feel the differences in drivetrains and power output in vehicles.

BTW, Welcome.....make sure you search the threads in the future, seeing as this topic has surely been covered on another thread.

I tried searching and came up with a couple pages of crap so i just posted sorry.

Thats OK, the search function can take a bit of getting used to.

In regard to your questions, Force Feedback in GT4 is far better than the effect get from Forza. GT4 and a decent wheel (DF or DFP) in my opinion takes things to a new level compaired to Forza (and yes I do have both an Xbox and Forza).

Additionally with the excellent DFP (honestly it is a great piece of kit) you can open up your choice of driving sims.

In addition to GT4, both Enthusia and TRD3 on PS2 are well worth investing in.

In the mean time have a good look around here, the FAQ's and stickied threads will help, and if you can't find the answer to a question, then just ask.

Regards

Scaff

BTW - GT4's Nurburgring walks all over the very poor Forza version, in my book GT4 is worth it just for that (Forza's 'ring is too wide and the curbing is all wrong).

Don't worry about it, but be aware that some poster's here won't be afraid to inform you of what THEY have found through a search. Because you are new here, the Mods probably wont be harsh or anythingand lock this post but I could be wrong.

Do you know what kind of wheel your friend is using?

The DF is blue and black and uses paddle shifting while the DFPro is black and silver and has an actual shifter rather than paddles.

If I get a PS2 and GT4 I prob won't buy the wheel right away cause the wife will kill me.

Now if you ask me, that would be a great mistake. Driving with DF or DFP is makes GT4 a true game.

Having played both Forza and GT4 for about 60-70%, and both with a decent wheel, GT4's "feel" for drive is amazing. Force feedback helps you feel bumbs on the road, rumble strips and it simulates nicele the effects of wheelspin, torque steering and if your car is "unbalanced". And it does not have to be DFP. Mine is a Logitech Formula Force, and I just saw one going for 10$ at an online auction site. Stupid people are selling them, 'cos they don't know they work with GT4. (It isn't on sale anymore, and it was originaly sold as PC only wheel.)
